Resplan

Our tour guide for the Capitoline Museum was Vincenzo. Having been to Rome many times, this tour was like no other. Vincenzo was both enthusiastic and knowledgeable about every aspect of the museum. We wish the tour lasted 4 hours instead of 2 hours. For us, he really brought the museum to life because there are so many little details that one could easily miss. When we return to Rome, we will try to hire him as a private tour guide. He was just that good!!
Experience, fee, length of visit —- all superb! Our guide was knowledgeable , entertaining, passionate. I highly recommend this tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a wonderful tour of a truly great museum. Our guide, Vincenzo, was extremely knowledgeable and shared his deep knowledge in a way that made it come alive. He made sure we saw the highlights of the museum and came away with a much deeper understanding of the many unique leaders of the Roman Empire. Expect a few pop quizzes. An all around great experience.
Our guide Vincent was truly exceptional. In a passionate and highly entertaining fashion, he lead us to works that held great historical significance. Detailed backgrounds brought ancient times to life again and some people facts about popes and artist Bernini brought laughter. Vincent generously gave us overtime minutes and ended the tour at an amazing spot overlooking the Forum. Thank you Vincent for arranging the tour at a less busy time and for the gift of your game.
Why take a tour of a museum - can't you just see everything on your own? A small example: up the first set of stairs after the entrance there are four marble panels. One shows an emperor riding in a chariot. So far so good. You may notice that he is not driving the chariot - but in fact there is no driver. There is a space for the driver but it's empty. Was the driver never added (why not) or was the driver there originally but removed later, if so why - after all he's just the chariot driver. A tour like this answers that question and many others that you may not even think to ask. Your experience will be enhanced out of all recognition. One caveat - not all the rooms are treated to that level of detail but those that are are revelatory.
It is the best and most informative way to visit the museum. I gained a deeper appreciation of the history of Rome
It would be very difficult to navigate the capital museums efficiently without a guide Vincenzo was knowledgeable, personable, and passionate. My wife and I had a great time with him and he was nice enough to take pictures of us near some of the displays.
Getting an in depth understanding of the art and history of the Roman Empire was an enjoyable and entertaining experience led by our guide Vincenzo.
Our guide Massimo was very knowledgeable and affable. He was informative and it was a pleasure touring the Capitoline Museum with him.
Vincenzo just gave one of the most animated, information dense (upon request), and ridiculously efficient tours I've experienced. He quickly surmised where my interests were and went out of his way to incorporate them wherever possible into the limited time we had today. I could have doubled, tripled the time we spent together, forgotten about eating, and collapsed on the way out, and would have been happy for the chance!
