Privat Quilotoa Enchanted Crater Lake

Denna heldags kulturtur börjar med ett besök på en lokal inhemsk marknad i Saquilisilí eller en historisk kyrka i Pujilí (torsdag/söndag). Körningen till Laguna Quilotoa visar en vacker utsikt över Andinsbergen, passerar den antika kanjonen Zumbahua och många inhemska städer och jordbruksmarker. Innan vi anländer till Quilotoa kommer vi att besöka ett otroligt lokalt galleri i Tigua, där vi kommer att ha en kort målarkurs för att lära oss om de gamla teknikerna i denna charmiga stad. Turen inkluderar en vandring ner i Laguna Quilotoa, en glittrande smaragdsjö inuti den inaktiva vulkankratern. Returvandringen tar en timme, eller så finns det möjlighet att hyra en mula för 12 USD. Vi kommer att besöka Quilotoa-lagunen, en av de vackraste vulkanlagunerna på planeten. Det viktigaste inslaget i denna lagun, med ett djup på 250 meter, är dess turkosgröna vatten. Quilotoa är den västligaste vulkanen i de ecuadorianska Anderna, inom dess krater har en kaldera med en diameter på nästan 9 km bildats. Vi kommer att vandra ner för att inse hur mineralerna har gett ytan en grönaktig och blåaktig nyans när den träffas av solljus. Inuti finns källor som från stranden kan ses som bubblande stigar som stiger upp till ytan.
Vi kommer att besöka den traditionella staden Tigua, där konstnärer alltid har varit kända för att dekorera masker och trummor för sina festivaler med precision och livfulla färger. Deras begåvade händer skapar en extravaganza av färg och skönhet som är bortom vad man kan förvänta sig av självlärda konstnärer. Väl inne här kommer du att ha en målarlektion med släkttekniken att måla på ett fårskinn. Du kommer att ta din skapelse som en souvenir för att minnas denna okonventionella upplevelse.
Vi kommer att besöka utsiktspunkten Toachi Canyon, en stor geografisk olycka i form av en gigantisk ravin som delvis korsar reservatet och är synlig från en naturlig synvinkel i närheten av Sigchos. Detta geografiska särdrag har en utsiktspunkt för att uppskatta dess vackra landskap i vars djupa inre rinner Toachi-floden, den huvudsakliga hydrografiska axeln i området.

Jeannin was an amazing guide! The drive to the highlands was gorgeous and Quilotoa Crater Lake was breathtaking! We recommend hiking boots and hiking sticks to assist with the footing, which can be challenging because it is steep. We would definitely do this trip with Jen again!
We had a great trip with Manuel, on July 3, 2023. Manuel was very knowledgeable about the area, about Quito, and Ecuador. We enjoyed getting to know him. The private tour gave us great flexibility, which was helpful because we were still acclimatizing to the altitude.

Excellent pre-trip organization, detailed information about what we should take, meeting points, I could see that if they were complied with biosecurity protocols every time we got on the transport such as: disinfection of shoes before entering, temperature taking, disinfection of clothes, alcohol for hands and that we all wear masks inside and outside the bus. Very good guide with a lot of knowledge of the environment, knows the route and the locality very well. I would definitely travel with Inspiring Ecuador again. I recommend it.
