If you do one thing in the city of New Orleans, let it be this tour. Marc was knowledgable, engaging, and extremely welcoming on my family's trip to New Orleans. Having never been to the area, he provided us with expert level knowledge on the culinary scene as a insider in the restaurant business. This was truly a unique experience that I do not believe we could have created for ourselves had we simply dined-in at the restaurants and locations on this tour. Marc constantly exceeded expectations in restaurant and dish selection, and he made sure that we got all that New Orleans had to offer. When Marc walked into a restaurant with our party, the entire wait staff knew his name, and welcomed us with open arms. He was also incredibly accommodating to my family's preferences and past experiences in New Orleans thus far, and he even gave us additional recommendations for activities and dining in the area! This was by and far the highlight of our trip, and I could not recommend Marc and this specific tour enough. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement.

Mark, our tour guide, was excellent. Knowledgeable, informative and very friendly. His knowledge of the restaurants, food and drinks that were native to NOLA was exemplary. His pointers for the rest of our trip were very helpful.

This tour was phenomenal! From connecting history to culture to food pairings! Marc is NOLA restaurant royalty and takes you to such special restaurants! From Napoleon, Tableau , Antoine, Red Fish, all with his knowledge of what to try at each stop. In addition, information on which specialty cocktails to choose at each stop, made the tour a celebration!! You will end with a great understanding of NOLA and , where things are, SO, start your trip in the right way and do This tour on your first day!!!

Marc is knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to share what and who he knows. We had a delightful progressive dinner through the French Quarter. We had cocktails at several iconic establishments, as well as delicious tastings. One stop was on a balcony overlooking Jackson Square, another in a lovely courtyard. He also not only gave us tips on where else to go for the rest of our trip but also made us a reservation for a Sunday jazz brunch, when we couldn't get in anywhere else. Truly a memorable experience, well worth the money.

OMG!!! This tour was SO AMAZING!!!! We hit a bunch of unique restaurants all over New Orleans. I absolutely loved everywhere we went. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our questions. Everyone in our group had a blast even though some of us drank so much they don't remember. :)

Marc and Kristen are amazing! We had a group of 20 people, celebrating 50th and 70th birthdays. We spent 2 days with Marc seeing New Orleans and surrounding areas. Marc customized the tours for our group and every one of us had an amazing time! We tried new food, learned a lot about New Orleans on a city tour, went on a swamp tour, and toured a plantation. Marc and Kristen helped with planning our meals, making reservations for 20, planning a night on our room balcony and giving us a lot of tips on what to do. They are both great, nice people and very easy to work with. They made our trip perfect! I cannot say enough good things about them!!!

We booked a private tour for a group of 6 friends. We're all food enthusiasts and are equally happy at a Michelin-rated joint or that shack down the street that's run by your grandma's BFF and has been in the fam for generations. After spending some time working with NOLA to dial in the specifics of what we wanted to experience, they solidly delivered. Not to mention, this is the first culinarily focused tour I've been on where you actually stop into a restaurant and have a quick bite (and perhaps a cocktail, it is NOLA after all!) and then head over to the next spot. Zero wait between spots, super smooth experience. Felt like we were on a white glove tour with an "inside man". We all learned a great deal about the culinary history and scene of NOLA and couldn't have done this on our own. NOLA Detour's team (Marc and Kristin) were outstanding to work with, and their background in hospitality really shines on this tour. I strongly recommend booking this tour if you're looking to cover a lot culinary ground in a short time period. I can't wait to go back to NOLA and book another tour with them to cover even more ground!

Where do I start. Nola Detours came into our lives from a friend's recommendation. So....we hired Marc for 3 tours. We'd never been to New Orleans and since we were going to be in New Orleans for wedding, we thought, why not make the most of our visit. We like to visit off the beaten path sites, wander, and make our way usually, because we enjoy the random serendipity of travel. Marc read us perfectly! The bayou experience really broke it down as for off the beaten path. Lloyd, our guide, was entertaining, knowledgeable, and down to earth. Thank you Marc for finding that piece of Louisiana! Marc truly is a gem in his knowledge of New Orleans and Louisiana. His tours had us returning to specific areas of New Orleans to visit retail stores, galleries, and restaurants. Thank you Marc for making our visit worth a future return trip!

My wife and I were in town for a few days. We had one day with no plans. A friend referred Marc. He picked us up at our hotel, we had a brief conversation and off we went. Marc is from New Orleans and has a wealth of knowledge about the city. We stopped at local eateries, tried some local fare and talked to the locals. I don't think I could have found these places, certainly not in one day. I look forward to our next visit. I will absolutely be using his services again.

My family (myself, my Mum, Husband & 15 year old son) had the most FABULOUS 3 days with Marc in October: We had 4 incredible tours with Marc: - Art and street art tour - Cocktail and Culinary - Plantation and Swamp Immersion - French Quarter and Frenchman St Every one of them was unique and special and we have come home with some amazing AND hilarious stories. Also a LOT of art that needs framing 😄 Not to mention the fabulous tips and local info he shared with us on where to eat, and where to get GREAT coffee in NOLA, which as an Aussie is a MASSIVE deal. 10/10 NOLA Detours will give you the best opportunity to experience what New Orleans has to offer!
