The crew was nice and we were able to see manatees and more. The water was cold but not bad with a wetsuit. This time of Yores the water is not as clear but you could still see the manatees. I was disappointed as we bought the $460 3 hour private tour because it was not 3 hours. It was just over 2. If I am paying for 2 hours it should have been $300. It lf it would have lasted 3 hours I would have given them 5 stars.

We had a great time on the boat with Jake and Celeste. We knew the chance of not seeing a manatee was there since it’s summer, however, we got to see TWO! My girls loved it! We’ve never seen these gentle creatures so close and it was a neat experience! The private tour is definitely the way to go!

Captain Jake and guide Sandy were great and very relaxed! They took us to serveral places where we snorkeled with manatees. It was amazing and the manatees were very close! We have also seen dolphins on the way. We really recommend to do this trip with Jake and Sandy!

We went on 2/22/2026 - AMAZING!!! We will definitely be coming back. We had Captain Jake and Celeste - both super chill, professional and overall awesome people. Hell we would come back just to chill with them! It was windy and a little warmer when we went, so it was hard to keep up with the manatees as they moved but still beautiful to observe from the boat. Easy access to the boat. Important to mention: use the address they give you in the email for the meeting point! A sweet experience and good memories - definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed this tour with Captain Jake and Casey. They were both very knowledgeable about the manatees. And quite patient with us as we were snorkeling for only the second time. Crystal river was crazy busy the morning we went, but Casey and Jake took us to a quiet spot where we could snorkel and observe a couple of manatees. Realizing we liked birds they also pointed out birds in the area. The highlight for us was actually snorkeling the springs. We just enjoyed floating around the beautiful springs, enjoying the warm water, the beauty, and all the fish. As a bonus a manatee decided to slip right by us as we were snorkeling. Pretty cool experience and we’ve got lots of photos from Casey so we can share the experience with others.

We had an excellent time on this trip despite some unseasonably bad weather. It was freezing (mid/upper 40s) and raining. Manatees in Paradise was prepared, with a covered seating area, plastic utility bins to keep our personal items dry, a portable heater, and hot chocolate after our swim! I don't think these were advertised "perks" but they were very much thoughtful and appreciated! Swimming with the manatees was amazing. Visibility was not fantastic given the weather but we had a ton of time to float around and observe them, and whenever you didn't see one for a minute or two suddenly one would float right by! My only regret is not bringing my own phone in the water -- your guide takes plenty of Go Pro photos (I think we got 75 or so) but I kind of wish I had taken some of my own as well. There are a lot of tour operators -- we chose this one because they are recommended/certified by the "Save the Manatee" club and dedicated to responsible interactions with the manatees. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience, not only seeing and swimming with these amazing animals but also seeing lots of dolphins showing off their fish hunting technique.

Swim with manatees tour in the morning - 10:15 - good time to go before too many people out! Easily found Manatees and wetsuits provided and all fit everyone perfectly! Jake and Casey emailed good info before the tour and had knowledge and care of the Manatees and area. Jake took alot of pictures underwater and sent them to us right after the tour. Will go again with other family members soon! Most excellent time! Booked thru TripAdvisor - but wasn't best experience- maybe book direct with Manatees in Paradise website if you can.

What a wonderful experience it was! It exceeded our already high expectations. We snorkeled right next to manatees. These gentle giants didn’t mind at all us being really close with them (while not touching them though!:). We were super lucky because in addition to swimming with manatees we got a chance to watch three large bottlenose dolphins hunt mullet fish by rounding them up, hitting the silt with their tail fins while swimming fast like torpedos around them to incircle them with the cloud of dust raised from the bottom. The confused fish feeling entrapped start jumping out of the water right into the mouths of the dolphins. This amazing hunting technique is used by dolphins in only two places in the world: one somewhere in S. America and the other - here in Crystal River. We felt so lucky to observe this spectacular show put on for us by some of the most amazing and smartest creatures on Earth. We learned about this as well as lots of interesting facts about local nature and, firstly manatees, of course, from our guides Derek and Jake who were super knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and accommodating. In the last part of the tour we went to the Three Sisters springs with super clear water, which was just magical and felt like some enchanted paradise. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
