I booked the tour for the next day at 7 AM. After a few minutes, the details came via WhatsApp, pickup at the hotel at 3 PM. The communication was always precise and timely, just like the pickup. Unfortunately, one currently has to travel via Safaga, which increased the travel time in each direction from our hotel in Portofino to about 5 hours plus breaks. The two drivers, George and Peter, spoke English, and in Luxor, our German-speaking guide Mark joined us. He had us start our tour on the east side, and the west side followed in the afternoon. This was perfect, as both the Temple of Karnak and the Valley of the Kings, as well as the Hatshepsut tomb, were pleasantly empty at the times he chose. In the Valley of the Kings, he recommended the best tombs, and I was the only visitor in two tombs. (Attention, the guards inside the tombs can be even more annoying!) Mark perfectly addressed our needs: Since I was traveling with my 75-year-old mother, he always found good shady spots, allowing him to provide her with an unforgettable trip even at 39 degrees Celsius. The restaurant on the west side of the Nile did not look like much from the outside, but the food was very good; the beef was better than in our already good hotel. The view of the Nile was excellent. Up to three souvenir stops are offered, but if one is not interested, one can simply say so. Here, just like when translating with the boat over the Nile, one should negotiate the additional price and the service (we had about 30 minutes on the Nile, so a small round trip). After about 8 hours in Luxor, we then headed back. In total, we were on the road for 18.5 hours. A very great but also exhausting day!

The driver Abdo and our travel companion Mansour were very accommodating. All questions have been answered. Amendments were taken into account and in the Valley of the Kings we were able to choose for ourselves what interests us most. With the two we would go again and again.

Our trip from Marsa Alam to Luxor was very well organized. We visited the Valley of the Kings, the Karnak Temple and the Hatshepsut Temple in a calm and comfortable atmosphere. We had a wonderful day in Luxor with our guide Mahmoud. He explained the story very clearly and interestingly. Especially impressive were the Karnak temple and the huge statues of Memnon. The private tour gave us enough time for photos and questions. The driver was punctual and professional. A really great experience.⭐⭐

The excursion was very well organized both on the content of visits and on the program of the day. The drive is a bit long but it is definitely worth it, and the guide and drivers were very friendly.

The pickup was on time by our driver Mohamed. He was very pleasant and calm. Also the car was in very good condition. Our guide nobility was also very good. He explained everything well in German and was very friendly and helpful. All I have to complain about is that he sold us the boat trip across the Nile too expensive. But that was my own fault, because I gave in too quickly. Be sure to act and pay no more than 15€ for the boat. The lunch was very good. Definitely recommend the tour!

We had a very nice day! Our driver Amir was very flexible when picking up and dropping us off and we felt safe in the backseat all day. In addition, our knowledgeable guide Bob did his best all day to teach us everything about what to visit in Luxor. He seemed to know almost everyone and managed to keep us away from the pushy vendors at the entrance to the Valley. The only pity was that under the guise of 'there they have clean toilets' we were led to a souvenir shop with a friendly, but relatively intrusive seller. Then we had lunch at a tent where the food was more than fine, but we were the only guests. And then after lunch we were led to a papyrus shop, where the goal was abundantly clear to let us take a few things again. We thought this was a genuine downer. But as mentioned earlier, this didn't spoil the fun and we had a very nice day.
