Sintra har blivit ett populärt resmål under de senaste åren, men vissa platser har förbisetts. Tanken med denna tur är att ta dig till lummiga platser där du inte ens under högsäsong behöver spendera tid i linjer. Du får chansen att besöka ett slott och ett palats samt utforska en bit av Sintras kust, där det finns flera härliga restauranger som serverar färsk fisk och skaldjur. Dessutom får du en officiell lokal guide hela dagen med dig som talar flytande engelska, spanska och portugisiska.

Vi besöker det historiska slottet Mourish på toppen av en av Sintras kullar där du en klar dag kan ha fantastisk utsikt över staden och se så långt ut mot Atlanten och även förbi Lissabon.
Här kommer vi att undra genom den vackra lilla historiska staden Sintra där en gång kungar och drottningar bodde på National Palace of Sintra med utsikt över staden.
Njut av ett av de mindre besökta palatsen i Sintra, som ligger i utkanten av staden Sintra, gömd bland bergen och naturen, där du verkligen kan uppleva varför Sintra ansågs vara romantikens huvudstad på 1800-talet. Ett härligt privat palats byggt i mitten av 1800-talet med en blandning av indisk och arabisk arkitektur.
Vi avslutar dagen med ett naturskönt sista stopp vid den västligaste punkten på det europeiska fastlandet - Cabo da Roca. Ligger på 140m över havet där vågorna kraschar längst ner på klipporna. Det var den sista plats de portugisiska navigatörerna såg innan de styrde ut i Atlanten på sina resor.

- En del av tiden under turen går åt till restid. Om du är baserad i Lissabon, kommer det att ta ungefär en timme att komma till det moriska slottet. Därifrån till den historiska stadskärnan är normalt en kort 5-10 minuters bilresa om det inte finns trafik. Från den historiska stadskärnan till Monserrate Palace är det cirka 15 minuters bilresa. Från Monserrate Palace till Cabo da Roca är det cirka 20 minuter. Och från Cabo da Roca tillbaka till Lissabon kan ta ungefär en timme.

Bernardo went above and beyond for me and my 79 year-old auntie! I specifically chose his tour due to the chill-nature of the experience. We were able to tailor the tour to match ability levels. Bernardo communicated days before the tour to let me know about slight changes to the exterior of Montserrate, so we were able to make an informed decision about one of the coolest stops of the tour. He was super understanding and flexible when it came to making on- the- fly changes to suit the energy needs of my auntie. I also learned so much during my tour with Bernardo. He gave in-depth history with deep knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. I know I'll be back to visit portugal and I know that I'll book another tour with Bernardo.
We had an exceptional experience exploring Sintra with Bernardo. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy the day. What stood out most was Bernardo’s deep knowledge of the history, culture, and hidden gems of Portugal. In Sintra, we were able to experience the magic of the palaces and landscapes without feeling rushed or overwhelmed, while in Lisbon, thanks to Bernardo’s tips (after the tour) we discovered charming neighborhoods and viewpoints we would never have found on our own. The guide was professional, friendly, and incredibly attentive to our interests, adapting the tour to match our pace and preferences. It felt more like spending the day with a knowledgeable friend than being on a typical tour. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to make the most of their visit. Sintra is a beautiful spot to see outside Lisbon. We enjoyed everything from our first stop the Moorish Castle, sweet treats in Sintra, Monserrate Palace, lunch at the beach and Cabo da Roca.

Bernardo was a fantastic and very knowledgeable tour guide. We had the best time exploring Sintra’s amazing castles and the surrounding area. I highly recommend booking a tour with Bernardo, you won’t be disappointed.
A friend recommended Bernardo to us and we actually booked him two days in a row. Having a private tour guide was a big advantage as we could tailor our day as we wished. The day in Sintra was so magical. It was like a fairytale town come alive. Unfortunately, the Pena Palace was closed due to weather so we spent the majority of our time at Quinta da Regaleira castle and I am glad we did. The imagination of the owner to build such an elaborate grounds, gardens, tunnels and the piasta resistance, the initiation well was spectacular. Now I need to read Dante’s inferno…iykyk. Highly recommend Bernardo, very professional and knowledgeable.
