Din turné i Sri Lanka skulle vara ofullständig utan en kulturell turné till Sigiriya Sri Lanka. Sigiriya har en omfattande historia som sträcker sig tillbaka till cirka 477 e.Kr. Enligt forntida läsningar av Culavamsa valdes Sigiriyas gamla klippcitadell av kungen Kashyapa för att etablera sin nya huvudstad. Det var en vanlig klippa han valde för att bygga sitt kungliga palats och sedan förvandlades till en häpnadsväckande konstruktion. Än idag förblir planeringen bakom denna uråldriga arkitektur oupptäckt och håller oss fascinerade. Kungen byggde sitt palats på denna 200 meter höga pelarklippa och prydde ytorna med livfulla fresker. Ingången formad som ett lejon ger den namnet Sinhagiri, även känt som Sigiriya. Idag är det fortfarande en av de mest besökta turistattraktioner och världsarv i Sri Lanka. Det tog 5 timmar att gå till Sigiriya-webbplatsen.
Dambulla och Sigiriya är de bästa grannarna. Det är den närmaste platsen att besöka efter en kulturell rundtur till Sigiriya Sri Lanka. Dambullas grotttempelkomplex, Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium och Ibbankatuwas förhistoriska begravningsplats är de viktigaste sevärdheterna i Dambulla. Dambullas höjdpunkter fortsätter till Sydasiens största rosenkvartsbergsserie och största järnvedsskog så kallad Na Uyana Aranya. Det tog 4 timmar att komma tillbaka till hotellet.
