Privat heldagstur i Bangkok

Our first visit to Bangkok and we wanted to see all of the sites and experience all that Bangkok is famous for. We booked our tour through Viator, and our tour company was MAM Holidays. our guide Watchira. We had the best day and saw all of the temples, palaces and places of interest.our guide Watchira was excellent ,his knowledge of Bangkok and Thai history is amazing. We learnt so much and about Bangkok and Thailand. Highest recommendation to all.

We booked this as a private full-day tour and unfortunately it fell short on the basics that make a tour worth paying for. Our guide had very limited English, which made it hard to actually learn anything at each stop. He'd repeat the same short phrase multiple times, for example pointing at a wall and saying "this is marble, this is marble," without ever getting into the history or context we were hoping for. We also couldn't really ask questions, since he had trouble understanding us, so we started talking amongst ourselves instead. Oddly, he would consistently interject into our side conversations, and we'd have to try to explain what we were talking about. This became progressively uncomfortable, to the point where we started texting each other rather than speaking out loud in front of him. The tour also wasn't well planned. We regularly ended up standing on the side of the street in the heat for 15 minutes or more waiting for the car to come back around. For a private tour, we expected smoother, better coordinated logistics. Picture-taking was another odd point. It wasn't great at first, but after some coaching he improved. Then toward the end of the day, he insisted on taking our photos on his own phone rather than ours, and refused when we asked him to use ours instead. Given the language barrier, we never really understood why. To be fair, our guide was a genuinely kind, warm person who was clearly trying his best to make the day informative and fun. His effort wasn't the problem, the language barrier, lack of preparation, and some of these odd moments were. By the end, we were just ready for the tour to be over rather than enjoying the remaining stops. We'd recommend the company invest in better guide training and tighter logistics, especially for a tour marketed as private and premium.

Great way to see all of the main temples in Bangkok. Was a fabulous first day introduction. Only downside was being taken to the gemstone gallery, as it felt like a sales opportunity, which we were not interested in. I don’t think this was mentioned in the itinerary.

Very great tour! Took me to all the great highlights. Little fast talking, so you have to pay close attention but very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend. The private driver made the tour much easier and enjoyable. The gem factory at the end of the tour I thought was going to be a nice touch but it’s a tourist trap. Ask to skip, unless you want to buy gems.

Everything is very beautiful, the temples, but no boat trip, no lunch, and the gemstone visit to the factory was not agreed upon and inappropriate and aimed at sales.

We had a full and exciting day with our guide, Aey, seeing all the main sites in Bangkok in one day giving us time to relax the other days. Aey and our driver picked us up at our hotel and was flexible with pickup time and adapting our day to our interests. We highly recommend considering them.

We had a wonderful experience with Aey and her driver. Aey spoke excellent English, making everything easy to understand. She gave clear and interesting explanations at each site we visited, sharing the history and cultural significance in an engaging way. She also helped us find the best spots for photos and took great pictures for us. One of the highlights was when she guided us in making an offering at the temple, which made the experience feel much more meaningful and authentic. She also recommended a fantastic local restaurant for lunch that was both delicious and very affordable, giving us a chance to enjoy authentic local food. Her driver was professional, safe, and courteous throughout the day. Together, they made the tour enjoyable, seamless, and memorable. We highly recommend Aey and her driver to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and thoughtful guide for an unforgettable experience!

To say Bangkok is a busy city is an understatement. This city has so much to offer and I think taking a tour like this visiting the different Wat and exploring some of the culture gave us sites and sounds that we would not have known otherwise. We highly recommend this tour. We were allowed to and encourage to participate in offerings at the different temples that we went to. Which is something that our entire family loved and appreciated. Our guide gave us the ins and outs of each place that we were going to and was very patient and kind with us as he took us through the city and the different temples. We were never rushed or felt rushed. He took his time. Explain things if we had questions to ask he answered them all and we felt very safe and enjoyed our time very much. Going to the flower market, I think was just an eye-opener experience getting the flowers for the offerings. And then even stopping for lunch which we asked our guy to join us at our table. I think he felt a little uncomfortable so he sat at the table next to us. My whole family loved every minute of this tour. Loved every minute of the day. Loved every minute of all the sites and sounds that we were able to take in. We highly recommend this tour for anybody coming to Bangkok for any period of time to get used to or accustomed to the city and what it has to offer.

When considering the tour be aware, there’s a fair amount of walking, though it is not risky or or difficult as to steepness or excessive links, and that it will be hot, such as the weather in Bangkok. I had a wonderful day with Mr. Whisky is my personal guide. He’s an excellent guide: effectively conveys historical information, names, dates, and impacts. He was very attentive to my personal needs at this stage of life approaching 80 years.. He navigated easily our way through crowds and avoided situations that would waste time. Good sense of humor kept the pace moving so we use the time available wisely he was punctual he was professional in his presentation. He made the day very enjoyable for me. I would highly recommend both the tour and my guide to anyone considering touring Bangkok my thanks to Mr. whisky for a great day.
