Privat heldags historisk dagstur i norra Makedonien och Albanien

Beskrivning

Dori is an excellent and interesting guide to be with. He took care of all the details so our trip was full of experiencing Albania and 1/2 tour of Prizren, Kosovo. Dori definitely knows how to organize a very fascinating tour. My husband and I learned about the Albanian culture, their code of ethics - BESA-, had lots of good food, met interesting people which included the descendants of Albanian families who had helped saved Jews from the Italian fascists and the Nazis during World War 2. We have travelled all over the world and can definitely say that Dori is for us the best guide we have ever had.
We had the absolute pleasure of touring Tirana with Dorian, and it was the highlight of our trip! He didn't just show us the city; he brought it to life. His knowledge of Tirana's complex history was fascinating, and he told stories that you simply won't find in a guidebook. To top it off, he took us to an incredible spot for 100% traditional Albanian food. It was an authentic culinary experience we never would have found on our own. If you are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely great person to show you around, Dorian is the one to book. Highly recommended!
Dorian - or short Dori - is a very great guide! He is incredibly knowledgable about Albania, Tirana and the surrounding countries. PLUS: Not only will you have a insightful and exciting tour with him. He will also help you in organizing restaurants and other activities before and after. In short: Book Dori and your whole trip will be elevated. We enjoyed every moment of it.
We had an amazing trip in Albania and North Macedonia with Dori! He is knowledgeable, friendly, experienced and all around great tour guide. He was always on time and flexible to make the itinerary to our interests. We highly recommend him!
Visit your Albania, don't forget Dori. He is an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate guide. He knows his country very well, proposes many possibilities, but you always have the free choice. It is very nice and pleasant to listen to the many stories of Dori.
Dori is an excellent guide and driver. My wife and I took an all day trip from Tirana to Berat. Including a wonderful side trip to a small local winery that had very good wine and excellent meals. When we return to Albania we will be contacting Dori again. A knowledgeable guide who speaks excellent English!
Dori is an exceptional and wonderful tour guide! We toured Albania and North Macedonia with him for multiple days, including Durres, Tirana, Lake Ohrid, Bovilla lake and Kruja. It is quickly evident how friendly and welcoming Dori is, and I really appreciated his very vast depth of knowledge of all the areas we visited - you could point almost anything out and he would be able to talk about it. On a personal level too, Dori has such a great number of anecdotes of his memories growing up in Albania, including of the communist period while he was a child... I was always fascinated to hear more! On another note, it is very pleasing to see how well Dori gets on with the locals, many seem to know and are happy to greet him, which added to the friendly atmosphere of our tours. Dori is also a very flexible tour guide, with such great knowledge of the region that he is able to give suggestions and take you to relevant places at your request. The restaurants he took us to were less touristy and filled with locals, and he showed me somewhere to get a closer look at a bridge that fascinated me during his drive! Overall I could not recommend Dori enough, he responds very quickly and attentively, showed us great things and took great care of us... I will not hesitate to reach out to you again should we ever be back!
I have traveled more than a million miles, and I have used any number of private guides. Dori is the best one I have found. He is an excellent driver and an informative guide. His English is flawless. He knows the countries, the cities, and especially the sites that are of interest to visitors.
From the end of December 2023 to the beginning of January 2024 I used Dori as my guide for most of my sightseeing tours in Albania. When I first inquired about his tours, he responded immediately and made it extremely easy to make reservations. I took day tours to Berat, Apollonia and Bashtova (fortress), as well as overnight tours to Southern Albania (Butrint, Saranda, Gjirokastër, as well as some lesser-known small towns on the way) and Ohrid (Ohrid town in North Macedonia as well as some nearby villages around Ohrid lake in both North Macedonia and Albania). All of these tours were extremely memorable and amazing. I really enjoyed all of them. Dori was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, as well as an extremely safe driver. He always provided many interesting facts about all of the places we visited as well as facts about places we would pass by on the road. I never felt rushed at any time I was visiting any of the sites. He also takes really good photos (I always like having photos of myself at the sites I visit). In addition, Dori always showed me things that were lesser known (whenever there were any), which added to the experience. Albania is a very underrated country. It has so many interesting sites and places to visit. The people are very welcoming and friendly, and I always felt very safe in all the places I visited. Also, be sure to visit one of the Communist era bunkers if you are able to. There are thousands of them throughout Albania and they are extremely interesting. I could not have had a better guide than Dori and would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Albania. You will not be disappointed!
Dorian Disha (Dory), a very easy guide for Paul in his charms. We are a group of 3 couples who went to Northern Greece, Zagoria to celebrate 70 years. We hired Dori's services. Despite Dori's Albanian origins, he is fluent in English and Greek (speaking, writing and reading). Dori knows how to say the right words in Hebrew at the right time, good morning, how are you..... something that was important to us since we do not speak/understand Greek. During the planning of the trip, we received several options from Dori, the contact with him was via WhatsApp (writing and speaking in English). He was always available, explored what our expectations were and showed great sensitivity to Judaism. Dori was waiting for us at the airport in Thessaloniki and from here the trip flowed according to the plan that every evening we received information about what was going to happen the next day and if necessary he showed flexibility regarding any changes we wanted. We saw almost all the famous stone bridges of the Zagoria district, we visited the waterfalls and the beautiful villages of Zagoria, we saw the Vikos Canyon from several impressive angles, we were in Meteora and we ended up in the Olympus reserve. Dori knew about every synagogue in the area and the history behind it. Dori showed great proficiency, it is difficult to describe Dori's investment in everything. Literally everything. In taking care of every detail, in content and knowledge, in the layout of the geographical, ethnic and historical background of each site, in adjusting the difficulty of the tour to the ability of the group, to arrival and departure from the hotel, to meals, to coffee, he really took care of us like a family, and all with a smile, with humor, with humanity. It's hard not to like Dory, he's just a good person. Thank you and see you on the next trip .......... Nitsa, Tova, Sarah, Kalman, Shimon and Yehuda.
