Hakone är ett vackert bergsområde i Fuji-Hakone-Izu-nationalparken. Bara en halvtimme från Tokyo med kultåg är en dagstur ut till Hakone ett måste. Berömd för sina varma källor, sin natursköna kratersjö (Lake Ashi) och sin hisnande utsikt över berget Fuji, är Hakone helt omgiven av Japans vackra natur. Denna heldagstur i Hakone är en noggrant kurerad blandning av historia, kultur, natur och roliga aktiviteter. Denna privata rundtur inkluderar ett kultåg från Tokyo till Odawara och tillbaka, ett besök på den antika Hakone-helgedomen, en båttur över Lake Ashi, en linbana uppför vulkanberget Hakone, svarta ägg vid Owakudanis svavelhaltiga fält och en besök på Hakone Open Air Museum eller en traditionell japansk Onsen. Din guide möter dig i din hotellobby mellan 7.30 och 8.30 (beroende på ditt hotells läge). Du kommer att resa till antingen Shinagawa eller Tokyo Station med tunnelbana eller taxi om du föredrar det. Transportkostnader till stationen i Tokyo betalar du själv.
Anländer till Odawara Station i Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park med Shinkansen (kultåg)
Transfer till Hakone Yumoto varma källstad med lokaltåg.
Besök den magnifika Hakone-helgedomen med anor från 1667 och känd för sin Torii-port i vattnet. Lär dig om historien om Hakone-helgedomen och Japans inhemska shintoismreligion. Ta sedan en promenad längs en av de få kvarvarande delarna av den gamla Tokaido-vägen, byggd i början av 1600-talet. Gå längs exakt samma rutt som resenärer gjorde för hundratals år sedan.
Gå ombord på en sightseeingkryssning över den stora sjön Ashi och njut av den hisnande utsikten över berget Fuji från vattnet (väderberoende).
Hoppa på Hakone Ropeway för att resa uppför berget Hakone där du kommer att se berget Fuji från en annan utsiktspunkt (beroende på vädret).
Gå in i "helvetets dal" där svavelhaltiga ångor drivs ut från den aktiva vulkanen och prova några legendariska svarta ägg tillagade i de lokala varma källorna. (oroa dig inte, det är helt säkert!)
Från Owakudani (helvetesdalen) kommer vi att resa till Gora Station via Ropeway där vi sedan tar över till Hakonetozan - linbanan - ett järnvägssystem inbyggt i bergen där du kan njuta av den fridfulla utsikten över det omgivande området.
Välj mellan ett besök på Hakone Open Air Art Museum eller en traditionell Onsen för det näst sista stoppet på denna turné. På Hakone Open Air Museum är konst och natur tillsammans som ett. Du kommer att se verk av kända konstnärer som Henry Moore och Pablo Picasso samt firade japanska konstnärer. På Onsen (varma källor) kommer du att koppla av och fräscha upp din kropp och själ. Detta är den ultimata kulturupplevelsen i Japan.* Observera att baddräkter inte är tillåtna i onsen. Du kommer in i poolerna naken (könsuppdelad). Handdukar, toalettartiklar och hudkrämer tillhandahålls så du behöver inte ta med dig något. *Om du har tatueringar vänligen meddela oss när du bokar så tar vi dig till en tatueringsvänlig onsen.
Oavsett om du väljer att utforska museet eller njuta av de varma källorna kommer vi att avsluta turen med en snabb titt runt souvenirbutikerna i Hakone Yumoto.
Från Hakone-Yumoto åker vi tillbaka till Odawara via ett lokaltåg och reser sedan med kultåg tillbaka till Tokyo.
Vi reser tillbaka till Shinagawa eller Tokyo Station med Bullet Train. Din tur slutar vid stationen och din guide hjälper dig att ta en taxi eller tunnelbana till ditt hotell. Berätta för din reseguide om du behöver dem för att följa med dig till ditt hotell.

When you go to Tokyo, definitely include the Private Hakone Tour with Miko. You’ll ride a Bullet Train, a cable car, and a Pirate ship all while enjoying the beautiful mountains around Mt. Fuji. Miko also took us to and from our hotel, to guide us through Tokyo’s complicated subway systems. Then she emails all of the photos she took of us along with a written recap of the places we visited during the tour. She is an Amazing Tour Guide and we think of her as family.

Beautiful temples. Lots of walking along well maintained areas. Without Yasu I would still be lost in the bowels of the subway. 😮😮

This was a great tour and Yasu was so down to earth and fun. He knew a lot about the places we visited, he had little tricks to get us some great photos without having to stand in long lines, and one of our favorite parts of the day was actually sitting at lunch chatting! The tour itself offered some really fun ways to see some very interesting areas. Trains, cable cars, ropeway, and a really cool tour boat!

We had the most amazing day with our superb guide Paiva who looked after us so well all day from picking us up to dropping us off 11 hours later, she was very knowledgeable and aware of our needs at all times. It was the most magical day I had been worrying I would not be able to cope with all the walking steps etc., but I had no problem at all so don’t be put off.

We traveled from Tokyo to Odawara Station by Shinkansen (bullet train). From there we transferred to Hakone Yumoto by local train and then boarded a taxi which took us directly to Hakone Shrine. Hakone Shrine We explored Hakone Shrine which dates back to 1667, discussed Shintoism, and learned about how this shrine is linked to the first Emperor of Japan. We took pictures by the torii gate in the water. Lake Ashi We took a boat across Lake Ashi, once believed to house the 9 headed dragon that caused steam eruptions by the nearby mountains. Hakone Ropeway We took a nice ropeway up towards Owakudani Owakudani We explored an active volcano and ate black eggs, adding 7 years to your life! Hakone Tozan Cable Car We rode on a cable car through the mountains. This special cable car system dates back to 1922. Hakone Open Air Museum We visited Japan’s first open-air museum which includes works from Henry Moore and Picasso and local Japanese artists Ryoji Goto (the black and red dancing people), and Takamichi Ito (the steel turning sticks) amongst others. Finally, we traveled back to Tokyo by Shinkansen.

What a great day with our exceptional guide Sid! Thank you Sid! We enjoyed a full day exploring the history, nature, and cultural highlights of Hakone. Sid was so organized - the day was well planned, he communicated the plan very well, kept us up to date on each stage (ie prepped us for the next step at each stage), was very knowledgeable, gave expert food tips!, and was amazing with the kids (and big kids)! The tour itself is full of special surprises - views, history, culture, unique eats, art, etc etc. can’t recommend Sid highly enough!
