We had by far the nicest experience in the louvre chock full of others who seemed miserable clamoring just to see the Mona Lisa. (We saw that too )but really and more importantly we’re guided through with a true art historian who was soft spoken calm and so incredibly knowledgeable. He made my daughter so comfortable with the HUGE undertaking of seeing a museum of such scope. When you’re really interested in seeing and understanding the many works and the stories that coincide…. This is money so well spent! From start to finish everything was flawless.
We wanted a customized experience. I emailed the guide about what we want we to see,Egyptian and Roman antiquaries. She insisted on giving us standard tour, Mona Lisa, emus de Milo. Which we had seen before. We paid almost $1000. Dollar for someone who didn’t care what we wanted to see and walked out on us in the middle of the museum when my son had a request to see a certain object (the mummy) because she she didn’t know how to get there.
Bonjour We are extremely sorry that you didn't like this experience. To racap your booking - you booked it for Saturday and later requested to change date to Sunday which we accomodated. Then you came late by one hour and your guide waited patiently. at the meeting point. Then the guide realised your son has some serious medical issues and both of you were shouting and fighting with each other in middle of the museum. We are sorry to say that the guide was very afraid of you both and she could not continue any longer as she was afraid that your son might physically become violent. She abandoned you as she felt unsafe with your son. We still apologize for this experience and it's a pity that despite accomodating your date change request and one hour waiting time we didn't Manage to satisfy you.
Our family of three very much enjoyed our Louvre experience with our masterful guide who was generous with his knowledgeable and his appreciation of art. Our tour and time with Harvey was an absolute highlight of our Paris trip. We saw and learned so much more that we would have on our own. Communication with the tour organizers and our guide was seamless, organized and professional. We will book another experience through Viator on our next trip and highly recommend.
