Längs vägen besöker vi höjdpunkter som havssköldpaddsreservatet, de ikoniska styltfiskarna och det historiska Galle Fort men stannar också vid små, autentiska platser som inte är turistiska. Förvänta dig vackra vyer, meningsfulla berättelser och en avslappnad resa där du aldrig känner dig stressad. Du kommer att hämtas från ditt hotell I Hikkaduwa, Dodanduwa, Ginthota, Galle, Unawatuna, Talpe eller Koggala och överföra för att besöka OLD DUTCH FORT GALLE. Fortet byggdes för att säkerställa skydd och bevarande av staden portugisiska i början av 1500-talet och sedan omfattande befäst av holländarna under 1600-talet. Ursprungligen var fortet en jordstruktur med palisader, en vall och tre bastioner och en vallgrav som omger det. Under holländarnas kontroll byggde de impregnerbara befästningar med korall- och granitstenar och fortet liknade en liten upplagd muromgärdad stad med ett rektangulärt rutmönster av gator fulla av låga hus med gavlar och verandor.
Nästa stopp är japansk fredspagod. Fredspagoden på Rumasalla-kullen är en av tre buddhistiska stupor på Sri Lanka. Stupas är monument som tjänar som fredsfyrar för människor av alla nationaliteter och trosbekännelser, och den rena, rundade designen av Unawatuna-pagoden exemplifierar detta. Besökare kan gå eller köra den skuggade vägen till fredspagoden och de kommer att belönas med en hög, vit klockliknande struktur omgiven av guldmålade statyer. Steguppsättningar leder också till en gångväg som omsluter helgedomen som erbjuder en 360-graders utsikt över djungeln och viken.
klättrade ner mot den verkliga destinationen för din dagstur - Jungle Beach. Inte en annan person i sikte, bara två sträckor av öde sand fångade mellan havet och Rumassala Rock. Efter att ha precis upplevt den själskrävande haltheten i Unawatuna, var denna strand exakt vad vi behövde. Fred, ensamhet och underbar natur.
Stiltfiske är en av de mest intressanta traditionella fiskemetoderna i Sri Lanka. Uppgifter indikerar att det kom till strax efter andra världskriget. Detta sätt att fiska användes mer utbredd längs kusten fram till tsunamin 2004 vilket fick sådana aktiviteter att upphöra tillfälligt tills de senaste åren. Den vackra synen av fiskare ligger på grenade stolpar när de fiskar skickligt under gryning, middag och skymning; kan nu vara vanligtvis längs sydkusten i städer som Koggala.
vårt nästa stopp är Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery. Kläckningen drivs av individer strax utanför stranden för att bevara sköldpaddägg som ligger på den breda långa stranden som sträcker sig hela vägen till hotellen i Koggala. Hawksbill, loggerhead och gröna sköldpaddor ligger inbäddat här.
Stockholm – Sri Lanka Koppla av på den världsberömda Unawatuna Beach, en av de vackraste gyllene sandstränderna på Sri Lankas södra kust. Omgiven av palmer och lugnt turkost vatten, är denna vik perfekt för att simma, sola och uppleva den avslappnade tropiska atmosfären. Gästerna kan njuta av fri tid att promenera längs strandkanten, ta bilder, simma i de mjuka vågorna eller koppla av på ett strandcafé. Unawatuna är känt för sina säkra badförhållanden och fantastiska utsikt över solnedgången, vilket gör det till ett måste-besöksmål i söder.

Sometimes, these reviews are about the wonderful place you visited. Other times, it is about your guide. When the two combine, you have a truly memorable excursion. To start, we had the most wonderful guide. Great sense of humor, the ability to understand when his elderly tourists were wearing out and the wisdom to put unscheduled stops into the “walk around Galle Fort.” The Japanese Peace Pagoda, the stilt fishermen (yes, we know they no longer make their living by fishing this way - they make their money off us taking pictures of them), the Kosgodda Turtle Rescue group, Galle Fort and a half dozen little places we visited because our guide said we would enjoy them (and no, they were NOT high priced tourist marts) like a Sri Lankan cemetery (because my brother is a funeral director and he loves us sending photos of cemeteries in other places). All in all, one of our best Viator tours.

We only had half a day of spare time and this private tour led by Milan was perfect! We enjoyed the walks of scenery and educational talk at the sea turtle sanctuary quite a lot. The beaches and the sea are truly breathtaking. This trip suits couples and family who'd like to travel in their own pace.

It was amazing. Nuwan who was our driver and guide was very friendly and welcoming. Had a great time with my friends . We enjoyed a lot and the trip was very pleasant.
Milan was a wonderful guide! My children and I absolutely loved this private tour. Everything was organized perfectly and at a very relaxed pace, which was ideal for traveling with kids. The silent fishing experience was a real highlight for the children - my daughter was so excited to try it themselves. We also visited a turtle farm, where we learned a lot about these amazing animals and even got to see baby turtles. At the end of the day, we visited the Dutch Fort and watched a beautiful sunset. It was the perfect way to finish the tour. Milan was very kind, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. I highly recommend this tour to families and anyone who wants a peaceful, unforgettable experience!

Really very good tour with a charming guide, Milan. Took us to all the good sites in the area and nothing was too much trouble. He was able to take us to an antiques shop for in a remote part of Galle and in general he was very obliging. Can recommend.

Mila the guide was very friendly, great English and very knowledgeable with a good car. I got to experience everything that’s listed, although the turtle sanctuary is a big cramped. Galle fort is amazing but I was staying there anyway so I think I could have organised the same trip locally for less money.
