Du kan välja att avgå när som helst från 8:00 till 9:30 - din privata guide kommer att hämta dig från ditt hotell för den korta resan till Peking South Railway Station. Reser med bulletåg tar det ungefär en halvtimme att nå Tianjin - även om det är 85 kilometer från Peking.
Vid ankomst kommer du att överföra till ett lämpligt fordon: en buss, minivan eller bil med privat förare eller, för grupper på tre eller mindre, en taxi. Ditt första stopp är Porcelain House, en 1920-talet kolonial villa i fransk stil täckt av tusentals bitar av gammalt porslin. Förutom det häpnadsväckande exteriören är det 5 000 kvadratmeter interiören hem för ett museum av porslin och antikviteter, däribland spektakulära marmorskärningar, kristaller och halvädelstenar från ägarens samling, Zhang Lianzhi .
Därefter upptäcker du mer av Tianjins internationella förflutna med ett besök på Five Great Avenues (Wudadao), ett område som är hemma för över 2000 villaformade villor byggda av ockupationsbefogenheter under 1920- och 1930-talet. Du kanske vill ta en hästdrakt vagn runt området (egen kostnad) för att fånga den arkitektoniska prakten i bästa fall. Din guide kommer att introducera dig till Tianjins matlagning under lunch i en lokal restaurang: som ligger i Kinas fjärde största stad, är Tianjin mat känd över hela Kina.
Efter lunch, besök ett landmärke av dagens Tianjin: Tianjin Eye. Detta pariserhjul på 394 fot är byggt över Yongle Bridge: det är officiellt det första och enda observationshjulet som ska byggas ovanför en bro. Var och en av de 64 passagerarkapslarna kan bära 8 passagerare, vilket ger en maximal kapacitet på 768 passagerare per timme och tar 30 minuter för att slutföra en rotation. Njut av en spektakulär utsikt som sträcker sig så mycket som 25 miles (40 kilometer) i avståndet från dess högsta punkt.
Ditt sista stopp kommer att vara Tianjins antika kulturgata, stadens främsta shoppingdestination för traditionella kinesiska varor. Förutom Tianhou-templet och skomuseet finns det nästan 100 butiker som säljer varor från broderi och kalligrafi till teuppsättningar, sälar och figurer samt Tianjin-specialiteter. Härifrån kommer du tillbaka till Tianjin järnvägsstation och styr ditt kolltåg tillbaka till Peking. Din guide kommer att överföra dig tillbaka till ditt hotell, som anländer mellan 16:00 och 17:30.

Enjoyed day trip on bulleit train with Sally. She spoke good English, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Patience and forming connections was her plus points. It was day well worth. Definitely would recommend her to anyone thinking of visiting Tianjin.

⸻ We are extremely pleased we did this day trip. The guide was able to showcase the city to us, and the thoughtful planning made the experience both enjoyable and memorable. The itinerary involved quite a bit of walking, which requires a good level of fitness. It was assumed we were up for it, and thankfully we were able to complete the journey and spend hours exploring. The guide’s extensive knowledge was impressive — that we were shared fascinating historical insights and architectural details that we greatly appreciated. We also enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant. The recommended dishes were absolutely delicious. By the time we left at 7pm, the light show on the buildings along the river also started. The fast speed train is also another enjoyable experience.

We had a wonderful time at Tiajin, exploring the Italian and the Chinese street, all thanks to Maggie! The trip from Beijing to Tianjin was amazing..Everything was perfectly organised by our guide Maggie..she took great care of us and made sure that we see everything included in the tour..since my husband is a vegetarian she made sure that he eats comfortably..the European and the Chinese streets were great and the Tianjin eye was also very good..all in all thanks to our tour guide Maggie who communicated well in English and made the trip a success 👍🏻
