Easy to work with and customize. Overall didn't require a lot of work on our part to see some of the attractions and areas of the city we didn't know much about in advance. Seeing the soccer stadium was more interesting than we thought it would be as Americans. The "maze" was unexpected and an unique experience.
Our second day in Rio was with the amazing and delightful guide, Isaac and his fabulous driver, Carlos. We had the BEST time! We visited the Selaron Steps and heard the inside story of this unique artist. Then we visited Tijuca National Park to see the beautiful waterfalls, followed by a visit to Praia Pepino Beach to watch the hang gliders descend and land right in front of us on the beach! We did a ride past Ipanema and Copa Cabana beach, and then went to Santa Theresa village for lunch and a bit of shopping! Definitely recommend lunch at Sao Joaquim with the wonderful samba guitarist. Isaac is fabulous, and Carlos is fun, this tour is not to be missed! A wonderful overview of Rio without the main tourist sites which were thronged with visitors. Rodrigues was excellent driver. Safe, coureous, and well informed. We saw hidden sites and thoroughly recommend both the tour and our guide.

We booked our tour with Viatour and were very lucky to have Beth Banho as our excellent guide for the whole day. Excellent experiences of the forest, the views, the city and Carnaval. She even got some toucans, monkeys and marmosets to turn up. Thank you Beth xx
A++ experience. Our guide Fernando was easy to locate and we had a full day of seeing "hidden gems" of Rio. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. It was a cloudy, drizzley day - but we made the best of it. We customized the agenda as we went along, adding this and that. We had lunch at a great "locals" place where the authentic cuisine was not "just another brazilian steakhouse". The Maze was very interesting and unique. Highly recommend this trip.
Very good custom made experience. We wanted to change itenary and that was no problem. Nice guide and driver, new car and they made it a great day for us
We had a fantastic day with Gustavo (tour guide) and Brian (driver). We went to numerous locations - the urban forest, Casa Cave - amazing selection of unique coffee roasts, the Santa Theresa area - had a superb lunch at SAO JOAQUIM. The absolute highlight was “the safest favella” in Rio - Tavares Bastos. This favella is situated next to the Special Police force . Within the favella we visited “The Maze”. This building has multiple levels with many unique tile mosaics. Definitely take the guided tour ( very small entrance fee). The daughter of the guy who began the tile mosaics gave us the tour and the history of all the art. It was a very special visit. Throughout our day, Gustavo took us to all the best “hidden spots”, he is an excellent guide. Brian was amazing too. He was always there to pick us up once Gustavo had guided us around. This was one of the BEST Viator tours we have taken.
Beth was a fantastic driver and guide and also photographer as she showed us the sights of Rio and met all our needs and even found ways to lessen the walking due to mobility issues.
