Privat Chengdu Day Tour: Jättepandor och Jinsha Site Museum

Julie picked us up promptly in the morning and took us to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. We were able to enter the park quickly, and enjoyed our time walking around and watching the pandas. In the afternoon, we travelled to Leshan, where we stopped off at a restaurant for lunch (very tasty) and then visited the Leshan Giant Buddha. Julie was very helpful, kind and clearly knowledgeable since she answered all our questions.

We stayed at a hotel in Chengdu and booked a private tour of the Panda Facility and the Leshan Buddha. We met our guide Maggie right on time at the hotel entrance, making the start of the day stress-free. Maggie was outstanding. During the drive, she shared fascinating historical and cultural insights that made the experience even more meaningful. At the site, she expertly guided us and we saw up close more than twenty pandas. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, making the tour educational and enjoyable. In the afternoon, we drove to Leshan to take a river boat and see the Giant Buddha. Everything was well organized from start to finish and we highly recommend this tour.

Nice to see Pandas but not in their habitat due to heat .... Better to go in autumn.

We had an excellent private tour of Chengdu with Lulu, and it exceeded all our expectations. Our itinerary included the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the magnificent Leshan Giant Buddha, and the incredible Dujiangyan Irrigation System. Each destination was fascinating in its own right, but Lulu’s knowledge and storytelling made every stop even more meaningful. She was punctual, organised, and spoke excellent English. She shared the history, culture, and local legends behind each attraction in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. Thanks to her careful planning, we avoided unnecessary delays and made the most of our day. Lulu was excellent in taking photos for us. Incredibly patient and she also had a good eye for framing the shots. One of the things we appreciated most was how personable she was. We bonded over our shared love of dogs, chatting about her adorable sausage dog and our spoodle. Those conversations made the tour feel relaxed and personal—it was like spending the day with a friend. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring guide in Chengdu, we highly recommend Lulu. She turned an already wonderful itinerary into an unforgettable experience. Joy was extremely warm and welcoming. She felt like family almost instantly! I now call her my China daughter!! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and perfect with kids — making everything fun and informative. The Giant Panda Base was the highlight: we saw active pandas (including babies) up close, and Connie shared great insights while helping us get amazing photos. The city tour afterward covered Jinli Ancient Street, Wuhou Shrine, and People’s Park

We had Charles as our tour guide.. Charles was extremely patient and helpful towards our family as we had elderly on board. He provided very good explanations and recommendations for the places we visited and gave very good recommendations for food. We enjoyed the tour very much and had very good food.

We visited Panda base and Leshan Buddha. The guide and the driver were professional, knowledgable and very kind. They took us to local restaurant for a tasty lunch, water was available at all times in the car which was very clean. The best experience!
