Följ med på en unik rundtur som utforskar den ofta förbisedda afro-argentinska historien och kulturen, ledd av medlemmar i det lokala samhället. Du kommer att upptäcka de afrikanska rötterna invävda i Buenos Aires byggnader, berättelser och till och med tango. Vår rundtur i den historiska stadsdelen San Telmo, avslöjar det rika arvet från afro-argentinerna från förkoloniala tider till den moderna aktivismen som omformar landets förhållande till ras. På den här vandringsturen kommer vi att utforska de gamla slavhandelskvarteren och bostäderna, samt San Telmo-kyrkan, Dorrego-torget, minimalt hus och hyreshus. Längs vägen kommer du att lära dig om afro-argentinernas historia, såväl som processen för osynliggörande av det svarta arvet och aktivismen som kämpar för ett antirasistiskt Argentina. Vi använder vinsterna från vår Black Heritage-avdelning för att främja prisvärda turer för lokalbefolkningen, sponsra gratisturer för barn och lyfta fram bidragen från vår svarta community. Resenärer kommer att se det minsta huset i staden Buenos Aires, där de kommer att lära sig om vägen till frihet och afro-argentinernas organisation efter slaveriets slut.
Vi kommer att göra ett stopp på en traditionell plats i hjärtat av den koloniala stadsdelen San Telmo. Här tar vi en drink och pratar om Afrika innan koloniseringen, såväl som vardagen för människorna som arbetade i huset.
Vi kommer att gå vid torget där den mest kända antikmarknaden äger rum varje söndag
En av de äldsta i staden. Arbetet började 1735 och under utvisningen av jesuiterna fortsatte den bethlemitiska religiösa orden arbetet. Har också ett museum med föremål som går tillbaka över 200 år.
Lär dig om den europeiska immigrationsprocessen som symboliskt raderade det afrikanska arvet från vårt land. Här kommer du att upptäcka de afrikanska rötterna till många populära kulturella tillgångar i Argentina, som tango, asado eller till och med vår Lunfardo-slang.
Vår ackrediterade guide kommer att träffas vid Parque Lezama för att förklara ursprunget till den afrikanska befolkningen i Rio de la Plata-regionen, och förklara slavhandeln i det som idag är Argentina.

What an incredible and eye opening tour. I gained a perspective of the city I never knew existed. For anyone looking for a more nuanced view of Argentine history and how it shapes current life, you have to take this tour. Ekene is a great guide who is patient and kind.
This tour was fantastic! Met our awesome tour guide, Kim, at the cruise port and our wo derful adventure began wirh a drive through the city as Kim pointed out landmarks and places of interest. Her knowledge of the sites was outstanding. Really enjoyed the nice pace of our walking tour. Light lunch stop was included and we all enjoyed the delicious enpanadas, cheesy pizza, mint lemonade and Sangria. Very well planned with an outstanding guide!

An excellent experience in hearing and seeing Argentina African experience and culture. I was enlightened as to the correlation of North America past and present to the Argentina experience. Ekene was a delightful guide across the history of Afro-Argentine influence on Argentina. She was so clear in her storytelling, detailing what elements of African heritage permeate through this nation and its capital of Buenos Aires. It was the highlight of my trip, leaving me with so much pride and great stories to share. Highly recommend this experience, especially in the hands of Ekene.
It was an amazing tour with a very knowledgeable guide. We discovered a part of Argentinean history that is often neglected or denied. If you want to circumvent touristic clichés, this is the tour for you.

Karl was very friendly, personable and patient. Karl methodically guided my wife and I around key areas in the city and pointed out monuments and buildings with extensive histories. It was also great seeing how Karl interacted with individuals along our tour. We were able to learn a lot about Afro-Argentine history as we attempted to connect the dots regarding how the Afro-Argentine population decreased so significantly and almost completely in a 150 years and how it’s barely an afterthought. I recommend anyone with an interest in what happened to the Afro-Argentine community to take this tour.

Very good experience of having done this tour because it provided us with a lot of information about the Afro roots we have in the city of Buenos Aires. Excellent guide we got, Julia, very friendly and didactic with the children, who asked and learned many interesting and unknown things for everyone. I also recommend it because San Telmo always has surprises. The tour ends with a rich snack of cooked mate and homemade cupcakes at a bar in the area
