Privat 3 timmars Poirot Tour of London av Black Taxi

An amazing excursion with a wonderful, one-of-a-kind guide and a very friendly driver. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend it!

A great experience for Poirot fans! Knowledgeable and nice guides! We got to see the most important film locations.

After the ontime pick up, guide Jonathan and the driver greeted us friendly and we immediately got off. Shared movie clips and anecdotes during the short cab rides and a lot of background stories about the streets, buildings and people on the go and on the various locations. Base knowledge about the characters and the series would not have been necessary, but it added to our fun exchange about the episodes. First bonus was, that Jonathan is an actor himself and had met Hugh Fraser (alias Capt. Hastings) some while back, so we could also elaborate on filming the various scenes we talked about. Getting around in a real taxi was so much of a bonus (2nd) with this tour: getting where "normal cars" might get in trouble; haveing somebody knowledgable to navigate the increasing traffic (we only toured on a Thursday morning ...). So all in all: Value for money, enjoyed the whole three hours. We decided not to be dropped of back at the hotel which was not a problem - Goody bye. Would be good to return, when there is anniversary celebrations of the series, I hope we get a reminder of such activity.

Very nice afternoon with a knowledgeable guide and very nice driver. We learned a lot about many shooting locations (we discovered great areas of London) and heard a lot of anecdotes about the serie. Highly enjoyable!!

The taxi arrived on time and the driver Michael was very efficient and perfect as he had to park more than ten times during the visit. The guide Jonathan was very good and interesting, however he was not passionate and therefore we did not feel the expected emotion. We are big fans of Hercule Poirot and we did not enjoy rare anecdotes or small details about the character. We went to several filming locations and the guide showed us the related photos of the episode. It wasn’t that impressive. The only moment perhaps a little more intense was Florin Court. All this to say that it was good, but far too expensive for what it was!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our personalized tour with Jonathon. We chose this tour because one member of our party had mobility issues and would not have been able to take a walking tour. This was the perfect alternative. We enjoyed discussing the various adaptations and Poirots (e.g., Ustinov, Suchet, Finney) and watching the relevant clips at each location. Of course, we ended at Florin Court (Whitehaven Mansions) and were able to take a picture. Jonathan was welcoming, funny, and extremely knowledgeable about Agatha Christie and London. We would highly recommend this tour.

What an amazing experience we had. We have long waited for this tour and it did not disappoint. As big fans of the Poirot mystery series starring David Suchet, we have always wondered about the period specific architecture featured in the series. Our tour guide was equally enthusiastic and well-informed. She came prepared with photos of each of the sites taken from the series, and we were able to stand in front of the buildings, holding the photos. This helped us to remember what we saw later on. We could not have had a better time - even our taxi driver was amazing.

This was a birthday present for my husband, who is an Agatha Christie fan. Our tour guide Eva and the black taxi driver, Dennis were both excellent guides. Eva turned out to be an Agatha Christie fan herself which was an added bonus. She gave us a lot of detail and history behind each location and put them into context by showing film clips, and in general, made it a very memorable experience. The drive around Central London was smooth (the tour was booked on a Sunday) and Dennis made all stops so convenient by getting us as close to each location as was permissible. Overall well worth the money as this is probably a once-in-a-lifetime trip.
