Josh was knowledgeable about Philly. His obvious interest in history showed. Additionally, on a warm day, he knew exactly where to find all the shady spots.
Tour guide was great. One issue was the tour said you get into Independence Hall at the end. We do not. Asked tour guide and said that they don’t do that anymore. But it was still on their site.
It was very informative and educational. Stephen took us to all of the best sites and gave us a lot of history to digest.

Keshler was friendly, approachable, and very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions clearly. My son (13 year old history buff) really enjoyed getting a more in depth tour! We highly recommend!

This was a private group tour. The guide was walking fast and leaving most of the group behind. When he reached the points of interest he could start talking when most of the group was not yet there to listen. The stories behind the explanation of the locations were not compelling or interesting. No time for taking any pics as he would quickly move from one location to another. Also 4 days prior to the tour we contacted Viatour and the Tour operator to see if we could add 1 more person to the private tour. Viatour said they did no know, and the tour operator never answered the multiple messages. I will never use Viatour services or tours again.

Joseph was great, knowledgeable and witty. On a hot day, there was lots of shade to be had and benches at certain locations. A bathroom / drink beak included as well.

And on a hot day, the shade, benches, and breaks for bathroom and drinks are definitely a bonus. Our guide was EXCELLENT. Would recommend him - extremely kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, the tour itself was NOT as described for an expensive”Private tour.” Our tickets for Independence Hall was what we really wanted on the 2 hour tour but the tickets were for long after the tour so we were checked out of our hotel and leaving for a commitment - had to miss Independence Hall tour.

To clarify, our guide sent the tickets on August 22nd for the Founding Fathers of Philadelphia: Private 2-hour History Tour scheduled for August 23rd. We also advised arriving early to try to secure an earlier tour time. I’m glad that you were able to get an earlier tour with the help of the park ranger. I understand that the timing still didn’t fit well with your schedule, and I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience this caused; unfortunately, this was beyond our control.
