My husband and I booked the “Award-Winning Private Food Tour of Taipei: The 10 Tastings” with Garen in April. We have taken many private tours around the globe and Garen ranks with the best. In short, she was the high point of our trip. Not only did we get a taste of great local Taiwanese food, but along the way Garen shared her insights into Taiwanese culture. We felt like we were experiencing Taiwan with a generous, well-informed friend. You really couldn’t ask for more in a guide. Thank you, Garen!
What a lovely tour with June. She knows Taipei but, more importantly, she knows her food. It was incredible!
My husband, daughter, and I booked this tour during our 24-hour stopover in Taipei, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Judy was an exceptional guide who thoughtfully introduced us to a wide variety of local cuisine and shared excellent recommendations. We enjoyed exploring local markets, learning about Taiwanese food culture, and sampling an impressive range of dishes, desserts, and beverages. The places she selected were clearly popular with locals, giving us an authentic experience that we would not have discovered on our own. We left with full stomachs, wonderful memories, and a deeper appreciation for Taipei’s vibrant culinary scene.

Garen was a wonderful guide. She was knowledgeable on all the foods, and taught us much about the customs and history of Taipei and Taiwan.
Great tour! June shared Taipei’s history while we tried local delicacies. She engaged all members of my party with positively and understanding. My four 18-year olds are still referencing the tour and June.
June was fabulous fun, lots of different food to try and a few tea stops. As we wandered around the little lanes if we saw something that looked interesting she was happy to stop and explain. We also got a Taiwanese history lesson, very interesting.
It's a great tour - great food, good variety, interesting areas visited, excellent tour guide (Kate was very knowledgeable, had good humor, and was ready to answer any questions). Pace was slow enough for to do. We had 10 tastings, as advertised. I wuld do this tour again.

This was a fantastic tour with an excellent guide. My guide, Garen, was so welcoming and knowledgeable. I learned so much from her. I really enjoyed walking through the marketplace with her and trying so many foods. I recommend this tour with this guide. What a great way to experience culture.
