Denna 3-timmars rundvandring utforskar de nio hektar av Princeville Botanical Gardens och inkluderar en 50 minuters gourmet chokladprovning. Du får smaka choklad från hela världen, norr och söder om ekvatorn. Du får se vår heliga kakaolund och lära dig om kakaons historia och hur choklad bearbetas när du provar vår egen utsökta choklad. Dina expertguider kommer att dela berättelser om trädgårdens utveckling samt en mängd fascinerande information om växterna, chokladen och Hawaiiöarna. Du får smaka på säsongens fruktprover, vår tropiska trädgårdshonung och en mängd choklad för att hålla energin uppe när du utforskar våra dalar. Detta är en choklad- och trädgårdsupplevelse som inte liknar någon annan på Kauai. Börja turen med att utforska de övre terrasserna och användningen av växterna som bor i Waimea Valley. Hitta exotiska blommor, sällsynta mediciner, glada honungsbikupor och t botten av dalen frodas en liten kakaolund. Här kan du smaka på några råa chokladbitar och lära dig om hur choklad odlas och skördas. När du lämnar dalen, bege dig till vårt chokladprovningsområde utomhus, där du kommer att lära dig om moderna och historiska chokladbearbetningsmetoder. Du kommer att prova minst 5 olika choklad med ett ursprung från hela världen. Efter att ha kopplat av i skuggan och njutit av chokladen, åter på fötterna för att utforska vår Anini Creek-dal, ett annat underland av sällsynta växter, fantastisk topografi och fascinerande hållbara odlingstekniker.

Every experience is colored by the workers. This experience did not disappoint. The staff were all passionate about nature, plant life, and farming. Every explanation or answer to questions was thoughtful and obviously not rehearsed or memorized. Their excitement rubbed off on the group and we loved it. It really is not possible to describe the beauty of the gardens and the variety of vegetation we were introduced to while on this tour. Amazing really. Take the staff up on the offer of bug repellents (or bri g your own) because you will be deep in nature and that repellent will be an experience saver.

The property is absolutely stunning and the tour guides were so knowledgeable. They provided bug spray, clean bathrooms to use and walking sticks. The chocolate tasting was informative and of course delicious, as were the different fruits and honey you tasted along the tour. It really gave us such a unique way to appreciate plant life and our use of different plants.

Fun to walk around and see plants from all over the world. Nice activity for a day trip. Really enjoyed the chocolate specifically from the garden and trying all kind of different fruits as we walked.

I went with my husband and family. It was very informative, the chocolate and fruits were delicious!! The gardens were beautiful!! The walk was somewhat challenging for me (I have a physical disability - stroke) but I would think for an able bodied individual it would be fairly easy.

Great tour! Zoey was our guide. Very knowledgeable. Walked at a brisk pace. Most tours are too short, the 3 hours was just right. In addition to chocolate history, processing and tasting, there was also a little honey and coconut tasting too. A wonderful experience. A beautiful location. Very well organized, from the welcome and parking to the Goodbye.
