Praktisk matlagningskurs för Cajun-traditioner

Beskrivning
The Mardi Gras School of Cooking håller små, intima praktiska lektioner i de franska kvarteren. Klasserna är mer som en middagsbjudning med vänner. Känn dig välkommen in i våra kök av kockarna själva. Mark was our instructor and he did a good job. I was expecting to see some black instructors, since that is what was depicted on the advertisement at the time that I booked, however I didn’t. Perhaps they weren’t scheduled for that day… nonetheless, it was an experience that me, my sister and boyfriend enjoyed a lot.
Wonderful experience! Delicious food!
Ray was fantastic! We were thinking 3 hours might be long after a day of site seeing but Ray made the time fly by with his stories, cooking knowledge and overall fun nature. Learned some cooking tips, meet some great people and enjoyed the hands on experience. Fantastic food with wonderful flavors and great venue. Highly recommend. See you in South Dakota on the Harley soon Ray!
Thanks, Lori! Chef Raymond will be so pleased to hear your high praise!
This was a fantastic experience! We both love to cook and have made gumbo, jambalaya, etc. before, but we decided to do this for fun and pick up a few tips and tricks. Chef Sassy was great. She taught us cooking techniques as well as some local history and methods. We learned the difference between Cajun and Creole cooking, and the end results were simply delicious. We started by making chocolate chip bread pudding. I’m not usually a big bread pudding fan, but this version was decadent, especially with the chocolate brandy sauce. We also made Cajun jambalaya and BBQ shrimp—absolutely delicious. One of the best parts was that we got to enjoy the food we prepared while sipping wine and beer throughout the class. It was an intimate, hands-on experience with only one other couple, who were fun and conversational. We enjoyed their company as well as Chef Sassy’s. Highly recommend! Sassy even shared some of her favorite restaurant recommendations in the city, which was a great bonus. A wonderful way to learn about New Orleans cuisine while enjoying a memorable afternoon.
Raymond was absolutely wonderful! The food was great, he made it a fun experience. He answered everyone's questions with kindness and patience, he didn't make you feel rushed. I would highly recommend this class!
Wow! Thanks for the great review! I can't wait to share with chef Raymond.
My husband and took the 6 PM class. We loved the experience and the food. We’re excited to keep making the recipes at home.
Thanks for cooking with us! See y'all next time!
The best 2-3 hours spent in the French Quarter. We felt at home from the get-go and really learned a lot while having fun and enjoying an awesome meal! Chef Mark was very helpful and gave us many tips about prep, ingredients, and spices. In addition, he recommended some Creole and Seafood restaurants in NOLA that were spectacular!
We are grateful Chef Mark provided excellent guidance and tips! Thrilled you enjoyed the experience and meal in the French Quarter.
Excellent time, small group very friendly chef (Ramond) made it entertaining for all and food was awesome!
Chef Raymond loves entertaining, that's for sure! Thanks for cooking with MGSC!
A true New Orleans foodie dream! Chef Raymond was exceptional. His extensive knowledge and enthusiasm contributed to a fabulous experience. We learned a great deal and feel like we can recreate this magic in our own kitchens. The only disappointment was that we were not allowed to keep our aprons. Another Cooking School in NOLA gifted us their aprons and we were anticipating keeping the great purple ones we wore today. We wholeheartedly recommend this experience!
Thanks for the amazing review! I can't wait to with chef! Bon Appetit
Such a great experience and class! We learned new techniques and the history of the amazing food in this region. Chef Erica was awesome
