Oavsett om du besöker för första gången eller har ringt Portland hem i flera år, erbjuder denna tur ett nytt och engagerande sätt att utforska Greater Portland området. Åk bekvämt ombord på en av våra Ford Transit-personbilar när vi färdas genom stadens hjärta och dess natursköna omgivningar. Med start på turnén kör vi längs Fore Street, en charmig historisk genomfartsled som löper parallellt med en av Nordamerikas sista fungerande strandpromenader. Vi kommer att passera kullerstensgator, tegelradsbyggnader och några av Portlands mest ikoniska butiker, bryggpubar och restauranger – många inrymda i stadens äldsta kommersiella och bostadshus. Blandningen av gammaldags charm och modern energi gör denna stadsdel till en lokal favorit.
Gå runt Fort Williams Park hem till Portland Head Light! En av de mest fotograferade fyrarna i världen! Med klipppromenader, minnesmärken och hisnande vyer kommer du att kunna ta bilder, besöka fyrmuseet/presentbutiken "maj-september" och även ta en bit matbitar på några av parkens food trucks, hummerrullar, chowder , gelato, whoopie pies!
Spring Point Ledge Light vi kommer att parkera och stanna i 10 minuter. Här kommer din guide att dela upp vikten av denna fyr som ligger ute på en vågbrytare i granit på 900 fot, tidiga 1800-tals militära installationer i området och natursköna vyer över våra kustöar Casco Bay! Här på Portland Breakwater Light, känt som "Bug Light" för lokalbefolkningen, får du 20 minuter att besöka en av Maines minsta fyrar som fortfarande är i drift. Med vackra grekiska korintiska kolumner ligger denna fyr på en mycket kortare/säkrare vågbrytare där du kommer att kunna gå ut och njuta av fantastisk utsikt över Portlands strand!
När vi avslutar vår tur kör vi genom Commercial Street, du får en glimt av en av Nordamerikas sista fungerande strandpromenader. Denna ikoniska sträcka i Portlands gamla hamndistrikt har kullerstensgator, 1800-talsfiskekajer och livliga bryggor som fortfarande används av hummerfiskare och lokalt fiske. Du kommer också att se en levande blandning av butiker, restauranger och pubar, alla ligger i några av stadens äldsta tegel / granit byggnader.

Brief overview of 3 lighthouses, beer tasting before/after the tour. The guide was really good sharing experiences, history, and tidbits. At the first lighthouse and park, we had lobster rolls from one of the food trucks. Out of this world good! There was a ton of lobster meat in the roll and the roll was a nicely buttered and toasted bread (not a hot dog roll). A great experience so that we know where to go back to and take time at the Rosie-the-Riveter exhibit.
Eric is very knowledgeable and passionate about Portland! This was a perfect 2ish hour tour to view the lighthouses and learn the history. Would highly recommend!

Eric was great! He knew a lot about the history of Portland, and previously working with his father, now a retired commercial lobsterman, he had a vast knowledge to share of that industry as well. We enjoyed our tour very much and fit the bill for our love of lighthouses.
