Pick up was easy from the central train station. Smooth and easy ride to Pompeii. Sara was the guide at Pompeii - friendly, spoke English very well and showed us the best highlights at Pompeii. Very enjoyable stories about Pompeii and good sense of humour. The second part was the tour of Vesuvius with Mario. He was also an excellent guide giving lots of interesting information as well as the walk around the volcano. Highly recommend this tour company and their guides.
Visiting Italy and you take us to a Mall to eat??? Understand this isn't a food tour but you couldn't find a trattoria or osteria that could accommodate out time? You gave us cheap high school vibes. Why? To save money? Our choices were Mc Donald's and KFC. Highly disappointed. Had you said in the tour that you would taking us to a Mall to eat, I would not have booked.
Mario was a fantastic tour guide. Our driver was great, it was extremely convenient to not worry about the travel logistics to get to and from Pompeii and Vesuvius. Our Pompeii guide Anna was also amazing. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a guided tour of Pompeii and Vesuvius.
Disappointed that we couldn’t go to mount Vesuvius as a storm came in and it was closed. I was surprised that nothing was done about this as it was predicted on the weather apps and no offer to change the date or a refund. We went to Herculaneum instead but agin only saw about a third of it as it rained most of the time, no umbrellas available or raincoats so we just got wet and had to shelter a lot. Pompeii was great and the archaeological guide Ilaria was very good. Other guide Mario was ok.
Our tour was guided by Mario and i must say, he was the most amazing tour guide! Very funny and informative, answered everybodies questions and helped accommodate us through the bad weather! definitely recommend
This is a great guided tour with a very knowledgeable guide who is also enthusiastic. We took the tour on a very hot day (around 45 degrees) and felt that the time to climb Vesuvius was short and we only just made it back to the minibus in time. I’m sure on a less warm day it would have been fine. The tour around Pompeii was excellent and again the guide was very knowledgeable and explained things in detail I would suggest if you are doing this tour that you wear walking shoes/boots for Vesuvius as it is uneven surface and slippery
The day was ok but because the audio did not work on my phone or others we had NO guide for the volcano! The person who was the guide did not know what to do about this!
Tough walk up Vesuvius, but the views are spectacular. Pompeii is unforgettable. Bring water to both sitesor even just a water bottle to Pompeii as there are fountains you can fill your bottle from!
Wonderful day of seeing two Incredible places. Our tour guides and driver made it a educational and fun day.
