Du kan besöka den arkeologiska platsen Pompeji i ca 2 timmar med en Engelska talande licensierad Guide för din räkning, som kommer att visa dig de viktigaste höjdpunkterna och göra ruinerna levande framför dina ögon. Biljetter måste köpas online på den enda officiella hemsidan, TicketOne, kl 9:00. Varje första söndag i månaden är inträde i utgrävningarna i Pompeji gratis Pompeji förstördes och begravdes helt under ett långt katastrofalt utbrott av vulkanen Vesuvius som sträckte sig över två dagar år 79 e.Kr. Vulkanen kollapsade högre upp på taket och begravde Pompeji under 25 fot av aska och pimpsten, och den var försvunnen i nästan 1700 år innan den oavsiktligt återupptäcktes 1748. Sedan dess har dess utgrävning gett en utomordentligt detaljerad inblick i livet i en stad på höjden av det romerska riket. Herculaneumwas grundades mest av oskanerna, en kursiv stam från 800-talet f.Kr., och blev senare en del av både det etruskiska och samnitiska väldet. Under romarnas kontroll var staden en berömd badort där några av de rikaste romerska medborgarna tillbringade sina sommarsemester. Till skillnad från grannlandet Pompeji kvävdes invånarna i Herculaneum till döds av giftiga ångor snarare än begravdes under tung aska. Staden begravdes delvis av ett tjockt lager av lera (50 fot) och lava. Varje första söndag i månaden är inträde till utgrävningarna av Herculaneum gratis
Du kommer att besöka vingården Cantina del Vesuvio där du kommer att förenas med en enastående utsikt vid foten av berget Vesuvius och smaka på matspecialiteter i regionen Kampanien tillsammans med det berömda vinet som heter Lacryma Christy (Kristi tårar). Tony was amazing from start (booking) to finish (reliable and punctual transportation) to Pompeii, Herculaneum arranging for local and professional guides at both sites and an amazing lunch with wine tasting at the Cantina del Vesuvio with Mt. Vesuvius as our backdrop. We have wonderful memories of a lifetime thanks to Tony. And he also assisted us in arranging an early morning driver (Daniel) with his company to transport us back to Catania airport. Daniel was equally as efficient, courteous and kind as Tony. Look no further if you are making travel arrangements in the Sorrento area. Tony and Sorrento Limousine Service is the best.
The Pompeii and Herculaneum portion of the tour was absolutely fantastic—so informative, and topped off with a visit and magnificent lunch at Cantina del Vesuvio Winery on the side of Mt. Vesuvius. A perfect day! Gianni, our driver, picked us up in Sorrento and gave us great insight into everything we were going to experience. Truly one of the highlights of our visit to Italy.
This full-day tour from Sorrento exploring Pompeii, Herculaneum, and a local vineyard was an unforgettable experience and an absolute highlight of our time in southern Italy. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well-organized. Our licensed guide was outstanding—deeply knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history of the region. With their expert commentary, the ancient ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum came vividly to life. We appreciated the thoughtful pacing of the tour and how our guide made complex history easy to understand and incredibly compelling. Pompeii was vast and awe-inspiring, and our guide made sure we saw the most iconic sites while also sharing fascinating details we would have otherwise missed. Herculaneum, though smaller, was incredibly well-preserved and offered a more intimate look at life in the ancient Roman world. Visiting both in one day provided a richer, more complete perspective. After a morning of exploration, we headed to a beautiful winery located on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. The setting was stunning, and the wine tasting—paired with a delicious local lunch—was the perfect way to relax and reflect on the day. The staff at the vineyard were friendly and welcoming, and the wines were excellent. We highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in history, archaeology, and local culture. Daniel is an excellent guide. I would recommend him for any tour. Hes very knowledgeable. But the best thing about Daniel is his great personality. He’s warm and friendly and will make sure you have the time of your life!
What a day! Firstly, the communication from Tony in the lead up to the tour was first rate. He kept in touch, made sure we knew where and when things would happen, and then let us know who would be picking us up. Our driver Daniel was utterly amazing. Such a lovely guy, so knowledgeable and passionate about the region. He gave us more than we could possibly have hoped for, and we managed to work out how to fix Ferrari’s F1 woes into the bargain! The tours of Pompeii and Herculaneum were staggering and our guide, Francesco, was incredible. He really made our tour feel tailored to our interests (we think about the Roman Empire a lot, y’know?) and we came away with such a strong understanding of the sites. Just a piece of advice: don’t do these sites without a human guide - you’ll miss so much! The winery lunch was gorgeous, the wine-tasting was amazing and the red wine vinegar was worth the trip alone. Thank you to Tony, the team at Cantina Del Vesuvio, and especially to Francesco and Daniel for making this the highlight of our honeymoon.
Our driver, Giovanni and our guide, Francesco made a great team! They were both very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They coordinated the day making it both fun and interesting for the four of us. We really enjoyed the lunch and wine tasting - what a great way to end the day!

My wife and I traveled to the Amalfi coast for 10 days and had an EXCELLENT experience with Iaccarino Limousine Service! We had planned our first part of our trip in Capri and were picked up by Tony in Sorrento where we first visited Pompeii. Our tour guide Lucio Vinaccia greeted us with our tour tickets in hand and took us on a fantastic journey through the ruins. Lucio made it a wonderful experience and we were extremely grateful we had him as our guide! We then visited Vesuvius winery for a fabulous taste testing and lunch. Tony was always gracious and knowledgeable as we toured through each location. On a following day, Giovanni drove us to Amalfi and Ravello for an amazing tour of both towns. Giovanni was also very knowledgeable, but also very friendly and courteous. Tony was our driver and guide a day later for a tour of Positano where we had an amazing dinner at La Constantino, where the Manicotti was created, which Tony arranged for us. He was also able to fit in a wine and olive oil tasting before visiting Positano. Giovanni was then our driver the last day for our transfer to Naples airport. I cannot leave enough positive comments about our trip and the experience with Tony and Iaccarino Sorrento Limousine Service and the entire staff! Aside from traveling in beautifully kept Mercedes vehicles and vans, the team were always punctual, courteous, extremely friendly with very warm dispositions, and full of knowledgeable insights every step of the way. We are already planning our next trip and will certainly be using Tony’s services. It’s amazing how his services made our trip that much more enjoyable! There are many visitors along the coast and transportation is not easy, so Iaccarino Services are a MUST! Be sure to request Lucio as your Pompeii guide. All are HIGHLY recommended!!
What a wonderful experience our driver, Daniel, provided to the Herculaneum and the Cantina del Vesuvio winery. He was informative and charming, and enriched our time as we peppered him with questions about life in Italy. He also allowed us to stop and buy a Napoli team flag, as we hoped to experience the team win the title that very afternoon. Tony was also very polite and very quick to reply to all questions. If we get back to the Napoli region again, we will definitely book with Iaccatino Sorrento Limousine Service.
