Our best wine tasting experience in the Hunter. For us we enjoyed being able to do the tasting, (which was paired with cheese’s) at our own pace and able to discuss the wines amongst ourselves.

We had a delightful experience at Pokolbin Estate Vineyard. The service was absolutely GREAT!. My husband and I enjoyed a cheese platter which was way more than just cheese and presented beautifully for $35.00. Highly recommend with their Late Harvest Riesling which is a little on the sweet side and went perfectly with the cheese and fruit platter. We were so happy, we have booked a wine and chocolate pairing for our visit next month.

The wines were amazing. We purchased three bottles. The highlight of this visit was Hannah, our host at the Estate. This exceptional woman was so knowledgeable about the wines she was presenting - giving us the full story of the grapes and the processes they go through from beginning to end. Get ready - she talks fast! But she is a sweetheart and VERY passionate about what she does. Of the three wineries/vineyards we visited that day, this is the only one I would go back to. I would have added some photos, but Trip Advisor, in their infinite wisdom, saw words or images that would have been seen as "advertising" or something like that. Sorry - the pics were fun and showed the whole group.
