Pisa&Florence Shore Excursion från Carrara Port

What a fabulous day! Diego took our family exactly where we wanted to go. He was waiting for us at the port and took us immediately to his van for our adventure. He drove us to Pisa and showed us not only the famous area, but also around the city itself to give us a bit more than just the tourist spot. He then drove us to Florence. On the way, he showed us a beautiful Tuscan winery. He gave us time to take photos and walk around. As we drove into the city of Florence, he gave us historical and current information of the area. He took us to the best areas to photograph the city. Then, he gave us a few hours to do what we wanted in the city. He drove the area first, and then let us out for a few hours to walk around and do what we wanted. That gave us an opportunity to get our bearings before we started trying to walk the city. His restaurant suggestion was perfection. We had booked a guided tour so we could see the Michelangelo David. He took us there and made sure we were completely set before letting us do our thing. On the way back to port, he obliged my indulgence and took us to a gelatoria. Diego took such care of us and made sure we had an incredibly wonderful day. He is very personable and we felt like we had made a friend. He was so very flexible and accommodating with our agenda. I would do it all over again. THANK YOU DIEGO!!

Sara our guide and driver was informative, energetic, and fun. From port to Pisa to Florence to port is a lot of road travel and she made it seem effortless. We knew what we wanted which allowed Sara to use the time efficiently. We will be back to Florence for the arts, culture, food, and shopping for a longer stay next time. Our guide was excellent! He was on-time for pickup, at each stop, and the return to the cruise ship. He provided history and information for each stop and very useful tips for which areas to visit at a certain times to avoid the crowds. Our excursion would have been a complete failure without him!

If you only have a day to see Pisa and Florence from the Carrara Port and you love luxury and certain comforts in life, then this is the tour for you. This was worth every dollar/euro spent. Our driver/mini-guide (Guiliano) was very engaging and knowledgeable, and he was such a gracious host to us. As it was a private tour, we were able to customize certain aspects to our own personal interests/needs. Love, love love!!
