Bli en pirat för dagen! Vi kommer att ta vägen till Wallilabou Bay - filmfilmen av filmen, The Pirates of the Caribbean. Wallilabou Bay kallades Port Royal i filmen. Denna turné ger dig också en chans att besöka några av de mest populära och pittoreska sevärdheterna i St Vincent.

Vår tur börjar vid Kingstown kryssnings terminal. Vi tar dig genom vår huvudstad Kingstown. När vi kör igenom dig kommer du att visa och ge information om några av de mest historiska byggnaderna, såsom Central Police Station, Financial Complex, Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court och även vår Cenotaph.
Vi kommer att köra genom vårt livliga torg där många leverantörer och bönder säljer sina lokala tillverkare.
När vi fortsätter genom vår huvudstad Kingstown kör vi på kyrkans gata eller "back street" som det kallas lokalt. Här kommer du att visas och ges en kort historia om Metodkyrkan, liksom den anglikanska och den romersk-katolska kyrkan.
Då åker vi vidare till Fort Charlotte. Fort Charlotte är en brittisk-kolonialtiden, byggd på en kulle med utsikt över hamnen och med panoramautsikt över Leeward-sidan av ön, inklusive Kingstown, Young Island, Bequia och även den berömda ön Mustique.
Efter vårt stopp vid Fort Charlotte, kommer vi då att gå med i Leeward High, som har bytt namn till Nelson Mandela Highway. I förbigående kommer du att se Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, Victoria Park - en liten stadion som även kallas Carnival City under Carnival säsongen, The Botanical Gardens, som är den äldsta trädgården av den typiska på västra halvklotet, Our industriområde Campden park och sedan vidare till den pittoreska Buccament Bay. Vi kommer att göra ett snabbt stopp här för bilder.
Ett kort avstånd norr om buccamentbukten är avvecklingen av Layou. Layou var en av de franska första områdena, som var de första européerna att bosätta sig i St Vincent och Grenadinerna i början av artonhundratalet. Ännu innan brukade kariberna använda den som en av sina bosättningar, vilket framgår av de petroglyphs som finns i området. Vi kommer att stoppa här i Layou för foton
Vårt nästa stopp är fiskebyen Barrouallie. Barrouallie grundades av franska bosättare år 1719, den första europeiska kolonin på St. Vincent. Det var en gång huvudstaden i St. Vincent och Grenadinerna. Med resten av ön gick det fram och tillbaka mellan fransmännen och britterna, äntligen kvar i händerna på sistnämnda. Inom Saint Patrick Parish är Barrouallie både den största staden och socken huvudstaden. Området är känt för fiske och är känt för "Blackfish". På grund av de omgivande bergen är staden formad till ett hål som med tiden har skyddat staden från vulkanutbrott.
Vårt nästa stopp kommer att vara Wallilabou Bay där de första scenerna av The Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of The Black Pearl blev filmade. Det är en av de mest besökta platsen för passagerare på kryssningsfartyg.
Bara ett stenkast bort är Wallilabou Heritage Park som kommer att bli vårt nästa stopp. Det är ett litet vattenfall. Stora samanträd täcker poolen och dess intilliggande områden, vilket skapar ett relativt coolt mikroklimat för parkens kärnområde. Dessa och andra växter skapar ett livsmiljö för flera fågelarter.
Efter en rolig tid vid Dark View Falls tar vi sedan vår resa tillbaka till Buccament Beach där du har 1 timme att simma eller snorkla.

Upphämtningsplatser och tider
För kryssningsfartygspassagerare är vår utgångspunkt vid Kingstown Cruise Ship Terminal. Vi kommer att vara i hamnen strax efter att du klarat av immigration. Så fort du lämnar terminalbyggnaden, fortsätt gå rakt fram mot gate 3, kommer någon från vårt team att visa upp en skylt med vårt företags logotyp. Highly recommend tour company offering a great range of trips. Good value for money. Always punctual and responsive to questions. Shaf, in particular, is fabulous. A beautiful Vincentian, inside & out 🥰
Our pirates of the Caribbean excursion was truly unforgettable.. Our guide "Chef" was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Everything was well-paced, giving my family time to relax and take it all in. I highly recommend this excursion—it’s a perfect way to experience the beauty of the island.
Great tour at a very low price compared to others. It s basically gone around the island. The tour lasted 7 hours instead of 5.. a bit long without lunch, because the stops were 45 Min/1 hour instead of 15/30. Made a lot of bus (small max 22 people) on narrow roads and with many curves, up and down the hills but you saw a lot. Very good and nice driver and guide. Only in: left with 1 hour late and the stop at the beach terribe, to avoid: you have to bring towels, black sand no one has bathed and nothing much... it was preferable to return by ship...
Made a reservation 10 months ago. On the morning of the tour you will not find our reservation, taken hostage at the exit of the port not to go anyway with another operator. Taken away in the car, changed trucks three times. Since we could not go back because we were far from the port, we found ourselves on a tour that had already started halfway, completely different from the one booked. And finally paid full price, maybe even more than those who were on top of the bus. If you arrive by cruise ship stay in the ship, a stop to forget like the tour.
The tour as such was good, partly because you got to see something from the coast. The location itself doesn't show much of the location anymore, is quite touristy, costs additional admission, rather moderate. Afterwards we were still in a small pretty park (extra entrance), and then to swim on the beach. Fort Charlotte was interesting. Driver and guide were nice. Unfortunately, we, who were there at the beginning of the time window at the start of the tour, had to wait a long time for the start of the tour, probably also because the start time was described a bit fuzzy, and the last 5 guests only appeared at the end of the time window.
Learnt a lot about St Vincent and The Grenadines, it's sustainability, the fruits and vegetation on the island, it's people. We love St Vincent and the Grenadines and our guide assisted us in falling deeper in love with it. To you it off we visited Wallilabou Landing, where some parts of Pirates on the Carribean, The Black Pearl, were filmed. Truly beautiful island.
What an amazing tour. Wayne was polite and friendly on WhatsApp, making sure I had all the details I needed to join the tour. Deano was our driver and he was fantastic, as I was sat in the front I couldn’t always hear our guide, so he kept me informed. I didn’t catch our guides name, but she said “You can call me Sexy Lexi”. She too was amazing and so informative. My mum also loved it too. Definitely one to do if you’re a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, and Topdawg Tours certainly make sure you have the best time.
This tour with Top Dawg was a great introduction to St Vincent and The Grenadines. Communication prior to the tour was also professional and detailed, which I really appreciated as a solo traveller. My guide Weena was so enthusiastic about showing us her country, and our driver Dino provided us with safe and comfortable transportation. The Pirates of the Caribbean site is worth visiting if you’re an enthusiast, but just bear in mind it’s not been maintained overly well since the movie was produced. It was still worth seeing, but just set your expectations. Overall, I would recommend this tour with Top Dawg for those with limited time on the island and for Pirates of the Caribbean enthusiasts.
"Topdawg" was an excellent driver. The roads are steep and winding, but we always felt safe. He even had time to dish out advice about horn use. The fort visit was educational. Not a lot to see at the Pirates site ($2 charge), but fun to play in the coffins. The waterfall stop was our highlight. We also stopped at a beach and learnt about whale catching!
