Good dinner and very nice staff. The wait was a bit long, though; the show could have started earlier. When it arrived it was very good! Professional, very talented singers and dancers. Recommended.
Very good singing and tango show! The previous tango class was fun teaching us the basics of this dance! We ate well and it was a very pleasant evening!
Pick-up was punctual and reliable. The show was good, but lasted only one hour. The theatre was only one third occupied and the temperature cold. We arrived later then the other guests and had to take the last table in front of the entrance, far away from the stage. There was a draught. We would have liked to sit nearer the stage and not with a draught. That was not possible, even though many tables were empty. Unbelievable! The food was very average, the meat though. The dinner was not worth the money.
Good food and good show in a beautiful teatro. The service is nice and efficiently And, the food is also good.
The dancing was wonderful. Well worth the price. Food was good. The steak was perfectly cooked. Be aware that you have almost three hours before the dancing actually begins.
Had a nice evening at Astor Piazolla. The food and wine served with it were very delicious and more than met our expectations. Between starter and main course there was a "crash course" tango for beginners. Overall highly recommended.
Americans tend to think of tango as a partner dance; this show is a wonderful reminder that it has many dimensions. There was dancing -- well done by four different couples; but there was also a terrific live orchestra who played their own featured numbers (the violin and the bandoneon were particularly good), and there were two singers who sang to the live music, as well. The venue is beautiful, and the tables have nice sight-lines. And we received two free drinks with our tickets. It was not edgy or risky in any way (I was hoping -- at some point during my stay -- to see some women-led or same-gender tango, which I understand is challenging traditional practice in some quarters). But I guess that wasn't the point of this particular show. It was a lovely evening all in all.
The theatre is not much to look at from the outside but you feel the atmosphere as soon as you get to the bottom of the marble stairs and go into the main room. The theatre opened promptly on time at 1930hrs and we were shown to our table in an efficient manner. The wine and water flowed endlessly and easily all night and was good stuff too! The food was excellent - each guest picked from a wide 3 course menu and the portions were good. The table servers were brilliant. The dancers came on stage at 2200hrs. They were supported by a great live band up in the balcony and there were live singers from time to time to give the dancers a rest. A great night out!!!
Dear Duliby, Thanks so much for your comment! We are glad to hear you spent a marvelous and unique night at Piazzolla Tango and enjoyed the delicious three course dinner and the Tango show. Thank you once again for the feedback! Kind regards, Axel
