Sedan tar du en transfer till Muelle bajo las Sombras för att uppleva en båttur (delad service) som låter dig ha en närmare vy till isväggarna. Njut av lite ledig tid att gå runt och utforska och börja sedan återresan till ditt hotell.

Din egen privata guide och transportfordon hämtar dig på ditt hotell för att gå mot Los Glaciares nationalpark (entréavgifter är en extra kostnad).
Kör längs den natursköna Route 11, som går längs huvudbanan i Lago Argentino på vägen till Brazo Rico.
Väl framme i parken stannar du vid "Curva de los Suspiros" för att ta en första titt på Perito Moreno-glaciären, verkligen en fantastisk utsikt. Nästa stopp blir vid "Muelle bajo las Sombras", där du går ombord på en båt (delad service) som tar dig på ett nära besök till de fantastiska Perito Moreno isväggar. Du kommer tillräckligt nära för att begrunda dess ofantlighet och för att observera isskreden som ständigt klipper av huvudglaciären. När du kommer till den främre väggen kommer båten att stanna i några minuter för att få en bättre titt på landskapet, vilket ger dig en bra möjlighet att ta intressanta bilder och filma scenen.
Sedan kommer båten att släppa av dig vid ett närliggande nätverk av catwalks med utsikt över Perito Moreno, så att du kan se denna imponerande glaciär från flera balkonger som ligger i olika höjder och vinklar, var och en vackrare än den förra. Njut av lite ledig tid att gå runt eller, om du vill, äta lunch på någon av restaurangerna nära landningsbanorna eller den du tog med.
Tillbaka till El Calafate, du kommer att returneras till ditt hotell runt 17:00.

Pablo and Sebastian were great! They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They made an extra photo stop when we asked. They made entrance to the park and the boat ride seamless. We really enjoyed our day!
The stunning Perito Moreno Glacier. We did the boat tour and all the walks (red, yellow and blue) well worth doing them all as they give a slightly different perspective of the glacier. Luciana was brilliant, she was so knowledgeable and a lovely friendly person allowing us to go at our own pace, imparting little nuggets of information all the way. She even recommended the fantastic La Tablita for supper which was a lovely authentic Patagonian restaurant. A memorable day.
Reserving this package was easy via email, with friendly service. This package is a bit of an investment, but we don't regret it for a moment, including the boat ride which gave a different perspective from the walkways and was an excellent add-on. Soledad was our (fully-certified) guide and she was nothing short of amazing. So knowledgeable, friendly, and with excellent English. Whether geology, biology, history of any other aspect of this breath-taking area, Solly knew it all and was able to explain to us clearly and with insight. This package includes a driver, which allowed us to have non-stop conversation during the trip to and from the glacier. Her love of this region was contagious and added to our experience. Bonus: although we'd asked many others, Solly gave us the most thorough understanding of the mate tradition and even shared her personal brew with us. We never thought our day at the glacier would be filled with such warmth!
This was a highlight of my time in Argentina. It's difficult to describe the glacier and the landscape. You've just got to see it. The walk through the forest is on platforms, easily walkable. For point of reference, I'm 60 with an arthritic knee and I had no problems with it at all. The views are spectacular. On the boat.... don't worry about getting a window seat when you board. Instead, get a seat near to the exit. About 5 minutes offshore the captain says that you can go aboveboard and that's really where you want to be anyway. The boat lingers for 30-45 minutes giving you ample time to take pics of the glacier and hope that you catch a chunk of ice falling. Great trip.
