Under den brittiska koloniala eran blomstrade det Kinesiska samhället i Penang, utövade sin tro med hängivenhet och byggde många stora tempel – vissa sades konkurrera med, om inte överträffa, dem i Kina. En av de mest kända är Kek Lok Si, som ofta beskrivs som det största buddhistiska tempelkomplexet i Sydostasien, som liknar en andlig nöjespark. Penang Hill, är ett populärt turistmål känt för sitt svala klimat, panoramautsikt och rika biologiska mångfald. Promenera på plank gångvägen för att se hur lokalbefolkningen går om sitt dagliga liv på bryggan, ta fina bilder av hamnutsikt, ikoniska Penang Ferry och Penang Bridge och köpa en prydnad eller två eller sörpla på kall isdryck i denna heta och charmiga enklav.

Great private tour. I would recommend doing this private tour on day 1 and then you can explore Penang on your own or do other activities like food tour. This private tour gives you opportunity to explore the town in your own pace. Guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. I did this tour on 6/16/2026.

This was one of the highlights of my time in Penang. Jeff was the perfect guide: knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly patient. He taught me so much about Penang's history, culture, religions, and daily life, bringing the city to life through stories and insights I would never have discovered on my own. We had a great custom experience with our guide, Law. We spent most of our day on Penang Hill but also saw the highlights of the large Kek Lok Si temple, inside visits of Blue Mansion and Khoo Kongsi House, water jetty area and street art/murals. Law is educated about so many aspects, he was a great guide. Very pleasant and accommodating of our requested itinerary. Very nice to save us walking in the heat by dropping us off nearby the sights and picking us up. Much appreciated! Request him for your tour!
