Vår vandring börjar vid Quartier Latin och slutar i Marais, det gamla Marshland-området. Självklart kommer vi även att kunna få ett smakprov på de franska traditionella delikatesserna. Tar vanligtvis 3,5 timmar, undvik den galna trafiken och var säker. Saint-Germain-des-Pres är känt för de litterära och konstnärliga kändisar som bodde och verkade där. En charmig stadsdel, med kyrkan Saint-Sulpice byggd på 1600-talet, med grunder från 1100-talet. Ile Saint-Louis och Ile de la Cite i hjärtat av Paris har några av de finaste monumenten. Katedralen Notre-Dame de Paris är en av dem. Smal kullersten och elegant arkitektur. Vi avslutar vår turné med att besöka Marais-distriktet med många samhällen och Place des Vosges.

Denna kyrka är den näst största kyrkan i Paris. Dess fontän av de fyra kardinalriktningarna är imponerande. Det är i en öppen plats och ett vackert område i St. Germain des pres nära Luxemburgs trädgårdar.

Vi kommer att gå vid floden och runt stadsön, blomstermarknaden och stadsön som var platsen för den romerske guvernörens fästning. Landmärkena inkluderar katedralen Notre-Dame de Paris och Sainte-Chapelle. Många restauranger och glassälskare.

There are people who guide you through a city, and there are people who quietly change the way you walk through it. Walking through Paris with Neda, the city seemed to speak softly again. Neda shared its cultural stories not as a guide, but as someone who had learned to listen to its silences. When the tour ended, it felt less like leaving a guide and more like parting from a companion who had lent us her eyes for a few hours. Paris remained the same city, yet somehow we returned home with a different one. And all these things, were possible because of her knowledge, her insight, and her rare ability to reveal the invisible life of the city. Thank you Neda 💐

Neda is so lively, friendly and knowledgeable and showed/told us about the history AND the current status of so many beautiful landmarks, sacred spaces and functionally important places. We walked at whatever pace was best for us, stopped for photos, enjoyed a cafe near Notre Dame, and ended with a covered walk around Place des Vosges. We are so grateful for Neda’s enthusiasm, not just about Paris fascinating history, but also about world cultures and their historical importance.
