Vår tur är den enda vindparksturen på en privat vindpark. Vi är den första kommersiella vindkraftparken i San Gorgonia Pass. Vi ger ett historiskt och framtidsperspektiv från början av 1980-talet under vindruschen till idag. Vi täcker förnybar energi inklusive lagring av vindkraft, solenergi och batterier.

Lär dig om framgångar och misslyckanden för uppfinnare och ingenjörer i början av "vindruschen" på 80-talet till de moderna eleganta konstruktioner vi ser idag. Hör hur gården startades av en enskild investerare och hur den har vuxit till en energikorridor. Kom nära en fungerande modern turbin lika hög som Frihetsgudinnan. Se riktiga fungerande vindkraftverk över 400 fot höga. Lär dig om vindkraftverkens inre funktioner och hur de bidrar till elnätet. Från turnénybörjare till ingenjörer kommer alla att lämna turnén med en bättre förståelse för hur denna förnybara energi snabbt blir en del av vår energilösning. Denna tur är rolig för hela familjen.

We have always seen the giant windmills off of I-10 near Palm Springs. Have always been curious about them. Today we got to see them up and in person. The tour starts with a 15-20 minute video about the windmill farm and the inner workings of the windmills. Bill was our tour guide and took us on a golf cart tour of the property. Was very informative and everything we could have hoped for in a tour. We also got to talk to a scientist (doctor) on property. Total length of tour was about 1.5-2 hours.

The history along with seeing early windmills and being up close to these giant structures is fantastic. The guide was knowledgeable & fun. Photo ops so I can share my experience. A comfortable golf cart. With all of the windmills in the Palm Springs, why not learn more about them.

Tom’s passion got us excited about the history and functionality of this Palm Springs landmark. The windmills had always been a mystery to me since I was a small child, passing them on frequent trips to the desert with my grandparents. Finally learning how the wind turbines work - and how important they are to our everyday lives in ways many people take for granted - was fascinating. It’s an experience I won’t forget and one I’d recommend to everyone visiting the area.
