We had a great time on the Paestum day trip with a lunch at the Buffalo farm! He’s a great driver. So much so that we’ve hired him to drive us to Naples the next day as well!
The three more or less intact temples were spectacular and well worth the 2-hour drive, especially because Tommaso was so fun to ride with. He is an excellent driver and managed to find a way around some pretty awful construction backups, so we could be on our way in good time. His English is impeccable and he shared some interesting facts with us on the ride. The restaurant/farm he took us to for tasting was simply amazing. They had two fresh, made-in-the-morning cheeses and some great pasta. The food was really good and reasonably priced. The locale of the farm/restaurant was simply beautiful. We sat outside on their patio and just soaked up the local views. We also got to meet some buffalo. Could not have asked for a better day.
Thomas was very nice, and his van was clean and spacious. He was on time, and connected us with a guide who was knowledgeable. Paestum was super interesting, and I learned a lot in about a half day.
