Oslos stadshus är hem för den lokala regeringen och är värd för prisceremonin för Nobels fredspris. Rik på konstverk med motiv från norsk historia, kultur och arbetsliv är det en sann Oslo-pärla.
I över 100 år har Nationaltheatret varit landets främsta arena för norska framförande av klassiska och nyskapande teateruppsättningar och storslagna firanden.
Det kungliga slottet är den nuvarande norska monarkens officiella residens och de flesta medlemmarna av det kungliga hovet arbetar här.
Karl Johans är Oslos största gågata och ca 1020 meter lång. Kantas av imponerande byggnader och butiker är det hit du går för att "handla tills du" släpper.
Norges riksdag (Stortinget) ligger precis längs med Karl Johans gate, och rymmer olika sysselsättningar och aktiviteter.
Området Kvadraturen ("Kvadraturen") är uppkallat efter det rektangulära gatumönstret i Christian IV:s renässansstad.
Akershus fästning är ett av de imponerande landmärkena i Oslo stad, beläget längs vattnet och med utsikt över Oslofjorden.
Bankplassen (Banktorget) visar var Norges Bank en gång låg. Torget är också känt för Engebret Café, som besöktes av kända norrmän som Ibsen och Munch.
Oslos bästa affärsmän kämpade i åratal för att få godkännande och finansiering för att bygga den nu 180 år gamla börsen.
Operahuset i Oslo är ett av de mest kända landmärkena i den norska huvudstaden. Det erbjuder utomhusföreställningar på utvalda datum årligen.

You get to see and hear about all the major sites of Oslo. We had trouble getting to the meeting place because of lack of information given to us by the cruise ship we had been on. Our guide and the company were very gracious when we couldn’t get to the meeting place on time.

Our tour with Inger was fantastic! She took us not only to key sights in Oslo but also deviated to other spots that interested us. She was knowledgeable, personable and very attentive to our comfort (it was cold and rainy so she made sure to take us indoors when possible) and gave us great recommendations for places to explore on our own after the tour. Guides such as Inger are the reason we always book a walking tour when we arrive in a new city- we learned so much in our time with her and that added to our overall wonderful experience in Oslo!

Marianna was our tour guide and she was quite the trooper. We came in on a cruise ship and she was given incorrect information about where to meet us. She practically ran from the wrong location to pick us up! We saw a lot of sites in Oslo including the beautiful Opera House, Library, City Hall, and the main shopping street. Great tour!

We enjoyed our walking tour in Oslo. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The two hour duration was perfect to see the highlights from the street and to orient us to the city…it gave us a taste as to what we want to go back to and experience in more detail.

We were worried when the guide arrived late and we had to call but he did finally show up. It was strange that we started at the Nobel Peace Center, abit out of the way, and he didn’t talk about it until I asked. He was very knowledgeable about Oslo and the history having lived there all of his life. We went to the fortress and parliament which was excellent. We asked him to skip the palace as we had been there but instead go to the Opera House that he wasn’t going to include. We also went to the library. It was a good way to spend a couple of hours seeing parts of Oslo.

It sounds like you had an enjoyable time with the guide, and you got the introduction to the city that the tour is meant to give you, but we also got off on the wrong foot. Never should a guide be late, and most importantly, if he/she is due to unexpected events, it should be communicated. In the end, the guide was a few minutes late, and we apologise that we did not inform you in time. We like to start at the Nobel Peace Centre because we find that the storyline nicely unfolds from there as we make our way through the city. Of course, not everyone agrees with us on that. Family Zoom tour of Oslo! Our family from all over the USA had the very best experience with Craig! He was amazing. Three generations of us were able to experience a private walking tour of Oslo "together". We were supposed to travel to Norway on March 20, 2020 but the pandemic prevented our travel. Thanks to OURWay, we got to have two hours in Oslo. I can't recommend this tour higher. Absolutely spectacular and I would definitely recommend this tour in person or on Zoom!! Dawn
