Oregon Coast Tour från Portland

Med över 300 miles av den offentliga kusten, är oregon stränder säker att förvåna med sina dramatiska offshore klippformationer och återfödda strandstäder. Denna turné kommer att resa längs en av de mest pittoreska körsträckorna i landet, US HWY 101. Vi kommer att spendera dagen med att utforska fantastiska stränder och se fantastiska kustutsikt.

Vårt centrala mötesplats och hämtpunkt! En vacker urbanpark mitt i Downtown Portland.
Efter morgonturen längs Sunset Highway, Oregons första bilväg genom Cascade Mountain Range, kommer vi att vandra genom en frodig Sitka granskog till Ecola State Park. Vi lämnar snart bilen och utforskar denna kustnära oas. Om tiden tillåter, kan vi också resa tillbaka genom skogen till indiska stranden. Denna avskilda ficka döljer sig borta från mycket av sommartimmarna och är en favoritplats för lokala strandkammare.
Efter att ha lämnat Ecola State Park, kommer vi att vara säkra på att besöka Haystack Rock, en sjökula strax utanför stranden av Cannon Beach, känd av sin likhet med namnet. Hävdade att den var den tredje högsta "intertidal" -strukturen i världen, det är en enorm basaltsten som bildades av lavaflöden för över 15 miljoner år sedan! Här går vi längs sandstranden, tittar på vackra fåglar omger berget, och om vi har tur och tidvattnet är ute så ser vi många arter av marina djurliv i deras naturliga tidvattenpool.
Staden Cannon Beach kommer att vara bakgrunden till vår lunchstopp för dagen. Gästerna kommer att sprida sig på fritiden och kan välja mellan flera små restauranger, som alla har sina egna eklektiska menyer.
På eftermiddagen leder vi söderut på den berömda Pacific Coast Scenic Byway (Highway 101) för att utforska vackra kuststäder.
Vid Neahkahnie Overlook, kommer vi sluta att njuta av fantastisk utsikt längs den högsta körningsbara punkten längs Oregon-kusten!
Vi ska resa till Oswald West State Park, lämpligt namngiven efter Oregon Governor Oswald West. Governor West är krediterad med att säkerställa att vår stora Oregon-kustlinje skulle förbli öppen för allmänt bruk. Vårt stopp i statsparken kommer att vara tidvatten och gruppberoende. Vi kan välja att ta en kort skogskrog följ längs Short Sand Creek som öppnar till en drivved staplad kust som kallas Smugglers Cove. En variabel från detta stopp kan vara ett kort besök till Hug Point om tidvattnen är låga. Här kan vi oftast gå runt punkten för att se en liten kustfoss!
Vi kommer att sluta dagen som kommer tillbaka till centrala Portland med en droppe tillbaka i Director Park.

Great guide )Andy). Very personable and relatable. He really knows the Oregon coast. He tools us on a couple of “extra stops” that were delightful. The van is brand new and very comfortable. It even has USB ports for charging phones. I highly recommend this tour.

A wonderful day. Patrick our guide was very informative friendly and entertaining. The weather was mostly with us and we had some gorgeous views. Would very much recommend this tour to anyone.
Aaron was so knowledgable and I learned so much along the way. The route we took was perfect and so gorgeous. So much nostalgia for me seeing where the Goonies rode their bikes, the hill and of course the rock. Had the best time.
The trip was wonderful with incredible views and locations, a knowledgeable and fun guide who had great portland tips. Would definitely recommend and would book again.
Our first time in OR we decided to explore the area by booking some Viator tours. The coast tour was amazing. Our guide Eric took such great care of us. I can’t imagine having a better experience visiting Ecola park, Canon beach, Sandy beach and everything in between.
Only stopped at 2 locations due to weather and accident. I know neither of those things were anyone’s fault but they made for a disappointing experience. Also I went on another all day tour with another company a few days ago and they had granola bars which was very helpful when you’re moving all morning from one stop to another and lunch isn’t for a few more hours (and I’m a tourist, it’s not like I can grab granola bars from home). Also the guide on the other tour gave us ideas on where to eat and visit around Portland. That was mostly missing here. But anyway the tour guide did the best he could under the circumstances. But overall experience was disappointing.
Hi Caroline, We are sorry about the circumstances regarding weather and the accident on the Coastal Highway during your tour. Your guide was in frequent contact with us throughout the day and as you said, he tried his best to get you beach access and to get to as many stops as possible. It does appear you drove the entire route of our tour yesterday, though we understand the weather did not cooperate for ideal views at some of the stops. If you are ever back in Portland we would love to have you experience the tour again the way intended, as both uncooperative weather and road conditions are unusual!

The destination was everything that I expected and more. The tour guide was not that great. She was silent for the majority of the tour. She shared nothing or very little about the surrounding areas that we passed through or visited. She was not very informative or engaging. She was polite and seemed kind. However, she was not an active guide. She also never walked with us or made herself present at any of the destinations.
