Med sina 126 meter långa och sin plan inspirerad av Notre-Dame-de-Paris, är Saint-Roch-kyrkan en av de största i Paris. Eftersom kyrkan i Saint-Roch tog många decennier att bygga, blandas olika arkitektoniska stilar, som den klassiska och barocken.
Torget anlades 1702 som ett monument över härligheten av Solkungens arméer Ludvig XIV. Den ersattes senare av Vendôme-kolonnen, modellerad efter Trajanuspelaren i Rom, för att fira Napoleon Bonapartes seger i Austerlitz 1805. Idag är den välkänd för sina lyxiga butiker (smycken).
Den glamorösa Opera Garnier beställdes av kejsar Napoleon III som en del av hans återuppbyggnadsprojekt av Paris. För att bygga det nya operahuset i Paris genomfördes en tävling om den bästa designen 1860. Operahuset i Paris, ett annat namn för Palais Garnier, har länge varit ett centrum för kulturell spetskompetens. Värd för många högprofilerade operor och balett.

We had a wonderful experience with our guide across two different tours, and both were excellent. She was kind, engaging, and made everything enjoyable from start to finish. My family loves fashion and jewellery, so this was especially perfect for us. She shared fascinating insights and really brought the subject to life. We also learned a lot about Baron Haussmann and the 19th century, which added so much depth and context to what we were seeing. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an informative and enjoyable tour.
