My wife and I took the two day Bradley tour. Our tour guides Theo (day1) and Remy (day 2) were terrific. They both were very knowledgeable and would do research to answer the few questions they didn’t know the answers to. We considered several tour companies. We liked that one group was 10 or fewer persons. We rode in comfortable vans. Some tour companies use large buses for large groups. We preferred the smaller groups. We stayed at the Churchill Hotel which was a two minute walk to the pickup and drop off location in Bayeux

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Jack was our tour guide, and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, easy to understand (very slight accent) and added tremendously to the experience. Sufficient time was spent at all stops, the bus was comfortable and Jack and Stephane (driver) kept us on schedule. Highly recommend this tour.

I would highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Remy, was excellent. He had a deep breadth of knowledge combined with the gift of storytelling that made this trip a delight. He could answer any questions and showed a passion for telling the story of d-day that kept everyone' attention riveted. The trip was well-paced and the van was comfortable. You should really enjoy this tour. It was very moving and one of the highlights of our trip.

This tour was outstanding - perfect itinerary, great service, and an unforgettable tour guide in Lucas. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

We had an exceptional D-Day tour covering Omaha and Utah beaches with Overlord Tours, led by our outstanding guide, Remy. His deep historical knowledge and vivid storytelling brought every stop to life—from the American Cemetery and Pointe du Hoc to lesser-known sites like Angoville-au-Plain and the Longues-sur-Mer battery. Warm, professional, and flawlessly organized from start to finish. Five stars—ask for Remy!

We did the full-day Omaha and Utah Beaches tour, and it was an amazing experience! There were lots of sites along the way, and we had plenty of time to walk around and explore each one. We made around 8 stops throughout the day, which gave us a great opportunity to really take in the places we visited. Be prepared to walk! We did around 10,000 steps during the tour, including some medium-level trails, so definitely wear comfortable shoes and dress comfortably. The beaches can also be very windy, so bring something warm, even if the weather seems nice. Our tour guide was Lucas Emanuel, and I was truly impressed by how knowledgeable he was. He explained the history of each place in great detail, and even while we were on the bus, he would tell us stories about the areas we were passing through and explain their historical significance. He was also very friendly and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire tour. We were supposed to leave at 8:20 AM, but we ended up leaving around 8:30 because we were waiting for someone who was late. We returned around 5:50 PM, so it was truly a full day, but definitely worth it. The van was clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of water available throughout the day. We also had several bathroom breaks, which was very convenient. You can safely leave your belongings in the bus while you explore the sites. The driver was very careful, and we felt safe throughout the entire trip. One small downside was that the AC in the van didn't work very well, but honestly, that's kind of France in general hahaha! The lunch stop was probably the weakest part of the tour for us. The place itself was comfortable, spacious, and clean, but there was no AC and the food was just average. It wasn't a big issue, though, especially considering how much we enjoyed the rest of the day. Overall, I 100% recommend this tour and the company. If you're visiting the Normandy beaches, this is definitely a great way to experience them!

We booked a private tour to follow the footsteps of our grandfather who was a POW in WWII. Our experience was AMAZING! Heidi and Rebecca at Overlord Tours were extremely communicative throughout the entire process, and the research of our grandfather's journey by manager Alain and our tour guide Jean was impeccable. We thought we would just be driving by areas where our grandfather might have been during WWII, but that was far from the plan. We toured the beach he arrived on and American cemetery, then drove to Mortain where we were greeted by members of Victory at Mortain museum. There was a military jeep escort to his capture site with a ceremony of remembrance performed by the mayor, followed by a private lunch and reception for our event. This was all a complete surprise and we felt like royalty. They truly go above and beyond to make your experience memorable. Our tour guide, Jean, was extremely knowledgeable of D-Day and made us feel like family. This tour far exceeded our expectations and is something we will never forget. We would highly recommend Overlord Tours to anyone seeking to experience D-Day and WWII.

We began our Normandy visit with OverlordTour’s Full Day Group Day 2 (Omaha/Utah) tour, followed two days later by a private tour. It was unquestionably the perfect decision, and much of what made the experience so extraordinary began with our first guide, Lucas Ducourtioux. Lucas is an exceptional guide. His knowledge of Normandy’s history, the D-Day landings, and the strategic significance of the various battlefield sites is remarkable, but what truly distinguishes him is his ability to bring that history to life. He strikes exactly the right balance between historical detail, strategic context, and the local and personal perspectives that make the events so much more meaningful. He has an intuitive sense of how much information to share with a group, keeps everyone engaged, and is wonderfully approachable and generous with his time when it comes to individual questions. But what made Lucas truly special for me was his genuine personal interest in my father's story. When I mentioned that my father had served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during the Battle of Normandy, Lucas immediately took an interest, pointing out sites and sharing details that might have particular relevance to my father's experience. What I didn't realize at the time was that he would take that interest a remarkable step further. Knowing that we had a private tour scheduled two days later, Lucas shared what he had learned about my father with our next amazing guide, Stephane. Together, they turned what was already a fascinating historical experience into an extraordinary personal journey of discovery. Before arriving in Normandy, I knew only that my father had served with the 394th Bombardment Group and that his first base on the European continent had been somewhere near Bayeux. I had very little information beyond that. Thanks to Lucas and Stephane, I discovered exactly which squadron my father belonged to, learned about its mission on D-Day, and saw the precise sequence and timing of its bombing operations over Utah Beach. Until that moment, I hadn't even known that my father had participated in D-Day itself. Stephane then showed us the airfield near Bayeux where my father would have been stationed, and took us to the Utah Beach Museum to see an actual B-26 Marauder, the exact aircraft my father had worked on as an armorer. Then, he walked us to a German bunker that my father's squadron likely bombed.And, in an almost unbelievable finishing touch, he recalled seeing a unique leather patch bearing the insignia of my father's very own squadron and took me to the shop where I could purchase it. I cannot adequately express how much this experience meant to me. What began as a desire to better understand the history of Normandy became an opportunity to discover an entirely new dimension of my father's life and wartime service. And it all began with Lucas. He could easily have answered my initial questions and moved on. Instead, he listened, took a genuine interest, recognized how much this history meant to me, and went out of his way to ensure that the next guide could help me explore it further. That thoughtfulness, generosity, and personal attention are every bit as impressive as his historical knowledge and guiding skills. Lucas and Stephane gave me something I never expected from a battlefield tour: a much deeper connection to my father and his place in history. I will be forever grateful to them both. I cannot recommend OverlordTour highly enough, and if you have the opportunity to tour Normandy with Lucas and Stephane, you are in exceptionally good hands.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour by Lucas (Stephane's driving was great, too!). Lucas' explanations and stories really helped set the context for this world-changing event, and he was also very adept at answering our questions. It was fascinating to hear what a young French citizen thought of that time period, 80 years ago, and his knowledge of French (and American) history is impressive. Overlord Tours are terrific--the book of maps and photos helped us understand the context of troop movements, particular incidents, and the impact of the war on the landscape. Even though this was a daylong tour, I would have liked more time at the American cemetery. Not sure how that would work, though, since there's nothing I would cut from the tour. I learned so much and now have a much better understanding of the landings and how France continues to honor the memory of those who served. Great job, Lucas!
