Olja och citron - Sorrento e-Bike Tour Experience

While the views are great, we were left disappointed with this excursion. Our guide Macarena was fantastic (very knowledgeable and helpful) but it was scary riding on the busy roads the entire time, especially as 2 people that ride bikes well. We had to ride single file the whole way there, and never got to go on any sort of trail like the photo advertises. The farm tour is a joke. One tiny spoonful of oil, and a tiny shot glass of limoncello. You don’t get to walk around to see olive trees or lemon trees outside of what’s at the main entrance of the “farm”. Not to mention, the guy running the farm was crabby and didn’t know how to correctly answer any of our questions (that might be a language barrier though, LOL).

This was the highlight of our time in Sorrento as we rode EBikes out of town and up into the hills overlooking Olive & Lemon groves where we ultimately visited a working farm to learn and sample olive & lemon products. Macarena was an excellent guide taking good care of our group including teaching how to use the bikes, sizing & adjusting them and navigating our journey including understanding the manner that the locals use when communicating with bikers. Along the way, she would stop to teach us about the local history and the agriculture. She was very interesting, helpful and fun!!! As a guide, she was super attentive and seemed to arrive out of nowhere at the slightest sign of trouble. She even jumped into traffic to navigate for us when a few tourists weren't being respectful and waiting. We felt very safe in her care and only wished we had more time to take another tour as we see other options offered. The overlooks, breeze and views from a bike on a beautiful day cannot be matched... Way better than crowded shops. Definitely book this tour, you will love it!

Macarena was an amazing guy, very safe and friendly. She would not let us do anything on her own, always serving us. She provided water as we were leaving in good instructions for the bike. We stopped at several Vance points for beautiful pictures of our family overlooking the sea. The olive and lemon cello tasting was wonderful. A small farm and the owner was educational and entertaining. There was so much we did not know about olive oil that we learned! Bring a little extra cash to buy products from the small farm owner. Very reasonable.

Wonderful ride up the beautiful hills of Sorrento. The ebikes were really nice and operated very well. Our guide “Macaraina” was so personable and really watched to make sure our ride was enjoyable stopping at great locations for photo’s. The small family owned olive, citrus, farm was so charming. We would highly recommend this ebike tour.

If you want to see Sorrento, this is the way to do it. The electric bikes make cycling up the steep hills easy and the views are spectacular. Our tour guide Macarena was amazing. She was knowledgeable and really considered in her approach to looking after cyclists of different skill levels/confidence. On top of that we got to enjoy the experience of a working olive and citrus farm. We learnt some of the history of the processes and the basics of how to identify quality olive oil, and tasted their limoncello. The ride back downhill to finish was fun, seeing the sights and picking up a little speed. Macarena, again, managed negotiating traffic, pedestrians, and our safety really well.

We had a great time! Love the product tasting. The e bikes made the bike ride effortless. The only negative was the bike seats were so uncomfortable it left my butt bruised.

Really enjoyed meeting with a great local farmer and hearing his exuberant, pride-filled tales of multiple generations of his family growing olives and lemons in Sorrento. The ride was great - our guide provided advanced guidance where we needed it and kept us going at a comfortable pace, while identifying a few notable sites, etc.

The guide was excellent! The route was on very busy roads and there was heavy traffic. The farm portion was very good as well.

A perfect way to see beyond the city without the effort. The e-bikes were a great help on the hilly Sorrento roads. Our guide, Peter showed us how to use them and made us feel very safe and comfortable, even when there was traffic. Never felt worried. The scenery was stunning. The Lemon/Olive oil farm was beautiful. It also runs as a B&B band I would definitely consider staying there another time. Our host was witty, informative and generous. His products were fantastic and more than one went home with us. It was so nice to see the smaller, more authentic villages that surround Sorrento. This was one of my favourite excursions during our stay. Great for experienced and novice riders as well.

Wonderful! Macarena is a delight. And the whole tour was a fantastic adventure. The tasting was fun, and we learned so much about growing lemons.
