We had an incredible experience! Alberto was the best guide. The drive took about 45 minutes from the cruise ship port, but he was there waiting for us when we got off. During the drive, he told us all about the history, culture, and landmarks of Alicante. Having been born and raised there, it was very authentic. At the farm, you learn about the history of the farm as well as the oil making process before starting the tasting. Alberto had gone out that morning to purchase fresh local foods and wines to pair with the olive oils we sampled. The day felt very authentic and not like something put together for tourists. If you’re visiting Alicante and are considering this tour, I would recommend it!
A visit that allows you to see beautiful mountain landscapes. Friendly guide. Good meal with delicious typical and local products, but it lacks coffee and a small dessert.
Our journey began with a scenic drive through the countryside, where our guide immediately set the tone with fascinating insights into the surrounding towns, their heritage, and the traditions that still shape daily life here. By the time we arrived at the olive farm, it already felt like we had stepped into a story. The farm itself was rich with history, and learning about the family behind it made the visit all the more meaningful. Our guide explained the olive oil production process in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow, deepening our appreciation for something so often taken for granted. The highlight, however, was the picnic. Thoughtfully prepared with local delicacies, it felt authentic and indulgent without being overdone. Paired with tastings of the farm’s olive oils—each with its own distinct flavor profile—it was a sensory experience that perfectly blended education with enjoyment.
Great tour! So interesting to see how the oil is produced and to taste the different varieties. The whole experience very authentic and well organized. Definitely worthwhile if you enjoy local food and culture!
I organized the olive oil tour with Ali-Oli Tours Alicante for my friends visiting from England, and it was such a special experience! Since it was harvest time, we even got to help pick the olives, which made it feel so authentic and hands-on. We learned all about the process, tasted incredible fresh oils, and then enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch surrounded by the countryside. It was the perfect mix of culture, nature, and fun — my friends said it was their favorite day in Spain!
Have been on several tours whith Ali-Oli over the last couple of years, and this tour held the same high standard that we have come to expect from them. The drive to the olive farm was nice, and Alberto shared a lot ov interesting facts a long the way about places we pased. The olive farm is a beautiful place, and it was an interesting tour to see some of the olive trees, and historical equipment outside. then we visited the modern production and storage area in the maine building. After the tour we got a tasing of the different oils, followed by a light lunch in the shade under a three outside the main house. The drive back to Alicante took the scienic route throug the mountains, with spectacular views along the way.
