Gamla stan och slottet Grupptur i Ljubljana
Beskrivning
Denna tur är den perfekta förlängningen av vår Classic City Tour och inkluderar de södra delarna av "Gamla stan" som inte besöks på klassiska turer, och slottet. Det är en härlig blandning av historia, legend och medeltida tradition. Som vanligt träffas vi på Preserentorget, varifrån vi går direkt till rådhusets innergård för att höra fascinerande historier om dagar som gått och clownerna som drivit showen. Vi fortsätter sedan längs vägen mot Gamla stan, passerar olika intressanta platser på vägen, innan vi anländer till Herkulesfontänen på torget i Gamla stan. Därifrån går vi upp Ljubljanas äldsta väg (1600-talet) och klättrar upp till slottet till fots (lätt 12 minuters promenad, inget alternativ för bergbana från denna sida av kullen), med andra punkter av intresse och synpunkter på vägen. Vi avslutar i slottet, där vi besöker innergården, olika salar, fängelsehålor, kapellet och väggarna för bästa utsikt över staden. Det är en härlig tur fylld med fascinerande innehåll. The tour of the old town and the castle was a very special experience. Our guide Domen presented the history of the Middle Ages in a very professional, interesting, and also humorous way, so the whole tour took place in a really pleasant atmosphere. At the same time, I was wondering why there was not even a short mention of the churches we had the opportunity to see, as they represent an important part of the city’s history and identity. Apart from that, it was a lovely experience and a very enjoyable tour. Best regards, Alenka
Hi Thanks for the kind review. The churches were not mentioned because 1) We only have 2 hours and 2) We deal with the churches in our Classic Free Tour. The tour you took is usually taken as Part 2 of the Classic Tour. In any case, glad you enjoyed and welcome back anytime for the other tour
Lucy our tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Even in the pouring rain no one left the tour. I would recommend this tour if you visit Ljubljana.

A absolute must do in Ljubljana. Voyka was so enthusiastic to share stories from the medieval times which gave a good insight to the story. Loved the hike up to the castle.

I happened to find out about the Ljublijana Free Walking Tour from the Ljublijana Tourist Office and registered on the Ljublijana Free Tour website. I attended the Old Town and Castle Group Tour on Friday 5th September solo for the afternoon session, which was hosted by a very dynamic, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide called Lucy. The group itself was approximately 12 - 15 people, which was just the right size. Everyone met outside the Pink church in the main central square. Lucy paced the tour well, stopping at various places of interest, explaining the historical significance of buildings and statues, in a fun way involving the tourists. The highlight of the tour was walking up to the castle and appreciating the views of the castle. I was very impressed with how much preparation and energy Lucy brought to the tour she kindly arranged, considering it was free of charge! Of course I paid a donation to her at the end of the tour, for the entertaining tour she organised, as did many of the other tourists. I definitely recommend attending the Ljubljana free tours. which is a fun way to interactively explore the city with other tourists and the tour guide, whether a tourist attends solo or with family friends. 10/10 !
