Old City Heritage Walk är en uppslukande vandringstur i Hyderabad som tar dig tillbaka 400 år i tiden tillbaka till tiden för Qutb Shahi-sultanerna som byggde staden och lämnade ett bestående kulturellt arv. När vi går förbi de palatsliknande herrgårdarna och moskéerna från en svunnen tid kommer vi också att återuppleva livet och tiderna för Nizams i Hyderabad i denna vandringstur. Vandringen börjar vid den berömda Charminar och slutar vid Chowmahalla Palace of the Nizams. Vårt företag har åtagit sig att stärka lokala samhällen. Charminar är ett monument som är symboliskt för staden Hyderabad. Det byggdes 1591 av Mohammed Quli Qutb Shahi, den femte sultanen från Qutub Shahi-dynastin för att minnas slutet på en dödlig pestattack på staden. Vår guide kommer att trollbinda dig med legender som närvaron av en hemlig tunnel under Charminar som är ansluten till Golconda-fortet, skapat som ett utrymningsmedel för kungafamiljen vid tidpunkter av nöd.
Vi besöker den berömda gatubasaren för pärlor och armband.
Vi går nästa till Mekka Masjid, som är en av de äldsta moskéerna i Indien. Grundstenen lades av Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah, den femte linjalen i Qutub Shahi-dynastin. Tegelstenarna som användes för att bygga moskén har gjorts av jord som kommer från Mecka! Denna magnifika moské rymmer mer än 10000 personer.
Den sista delen av vår promenad tar oss till Choumahalla. Det är Palace of Nizams som på en gång var de rikaste människorna i världen. Några av de anmärkningsvärda avsnitten i detta palats inkluderar en vattenbrunn, veteranbilar, komplicerade ristningar, glasskronor och grand durbar hallen. It was a great experience getting the feel of the old city from a very knowledgeable guide.

Shashi was incredible! She did a fantastic job telling me all about the history of hyderabad. She took me to all the spots (the markets, the masque, the center etc. She is a wonderful guide , 10/10 recommend shashi! She did a great tour showing the culture of hyderabad/india. Would highly recommend for further tours!

Our guide Sashi was very knowledgeable and made it a great day out for us walking in the old city. Make sure to go to Charminar in the early morning when there are no crowds and it is cooler. There is a great view from the top. Chowmahalla palace is well worth a visit with beautiful gardens and the mosque was very interesting too.
Had a lovely time learning about Hyderabad old town history with Ms. Shashi for the half day tour. The tour was well structured with a mix of history and experiences such as watching the making of bangles, trying milk tea and the Osmania cookies. Ms. Shashi is very knowledgeable, kind and accommodating in regards to start/end of the tour. Highly recommended, especially for solo female travelers.
Srinu was incredible and this was such a great day. He gave me a big rundown of the history of Hyderabad as we drove into town. Then we walked through the historic town and the palace as I learned more about the incredible influences in Hyderabad over hundreds of years. He was so knowledgeable and answered every question! Then, we went to a few shops where he showed me some of the coolest authentic craft & artisan work still being done in the region. Really really awesome - cannot recommend Srinu enough.
Great experience on this tour. I went with my husband who was visiting Hyderabad for the first time. We were able to book this quite easily, and the communication from the staff about timings, meeting points etc. was very efficient. On the tour, we were able to locate our guide, John, easily and he even waited 5 minutes for us very kindly as we were running late. The tour was very informative, followed a good route and we had enough time to take any photos. All in all great experience and would totally recommend 100%!
