Efter incheckning ombord fartyget, ta en kaffe, en dansk bakelse, färsk frukt & bosätta sig. Efter drygt en timme är vi framme vid vårt första Stora Barriärrev - den vackra "Wonder Wall" på Upolu revets ytterkant. Snorkla, dyk (extra) denna fantastiska Stora Barriärrevet plats som samarbetar med fisk och marint liv. Upplev en informativ gratis Glass Bottom Boat & Adventure Drift Snorkel tur med våra mycket uppmärksamma guider. Efter en morgon med aktiviteter njut av en stor härlig lunch när vi kryssar till Upolu Cay. Snorkla denna "korallträdgård" tropiska oas - håll utkik efter sköldpaddor och stickrockor! När förhållandena tillåter kan du även landa på denna glittrande vita korall Cay! Njut av sex timmars snorkling, koppla av mellan dessa 2 unikt olika revplatser. Efter en magisk dag återvänder vi till Cairns och serverar färsk frukt, ost och kex och tårta som anländer tillbaka till Cairns vid 16.15-tiden. Dessa platser är i Marine Park högt skyddade zoner där inget fiske är tillåtet, därav överflöd av fisk och marint liv. Kom och hitta din favoritfigur i Hollywood Nemo! Ocean Freedom reser till två Great Barrier Reef-platser - "Wonder Wall" på den yttre kanten av Upolu-revet (en verkligt magnifik snorkel- och dykplats) och Upolu Cay Reef - en vacker grund turkos korallträdgård. Upolu Cay-platsen är verkligen magnifik - föreställ dig ett korallträdgårdsrev med massor av färgglada revfiskar som flyger in och ut ur staghorn-korallen när du snorklar i dessa kristallklara grunda vatten som omger Upolu Cay. Håll utkik efter sköldpaddor som dyker upp till ytan för att få en fläkt, stingrockor som ivrigt skurar botten efter mat. Ibland kan du stå lår djupt på Cay mitt i havet, andra dagar kan vi landa på denna glittrande vita vackra korallcay - varje dag ett litet mysterium av naturen men alltid har vi det fantastiska turkosa vattnet att snorkla i och runt denna magnifika Great Barrier Reef-området. The crew was really helpful and the experience was easy and fun. The sea was calm when i went and the boat had ample room
I booked this tour for my husband & son who wanted to SCUBA for this excursion. They had gone on another vessel the day before for SCUBA and they thought Ocean Freedom was by far a better experience. Larger more comfortable boat, shorter boat ride, and scuba staff that let them explore more. They were worried about being on a bigger boat and having it be crowded with people but there was plenty of room to spread out.
✨ A day we are not about to forget… 🐠🐢🐋 Today, we created one of our best memories of this world tour: discovering the Great Barrier Reef. 💙 As often, we had booked this excursion via Booking, with the company Ocean Freedom… and honestly, we can only recommend it to you. We had chosen their catamaran and, at the start, we had a little apprehension regarding the size of the boat. Finally, the sailing was very pleasant and everything was thought out so that everyone would have an excellent day. What impressed us the most? The team. ❤️ With children, they were incredibly kind: always available, smiling, attentive… A real favorite. As for the meal, it was also perfect: breakfast at boarding, snacks, hearty lunch, fruit, cheese, cakes… Impossible to be hungry! The most powerful moment will undoubtedly remain my very first scuba dive. 🤿 I was lucky to be accompanied by Paul, a French instructor who immediately put me at ease. Doing your first dive on the Great Barrier Reef… it is simply magical. ✨ The sea was calm, we observed turtles, thousands of multicolored fish… and even whales in the distance! 🐋 The girls, for their part, were like little fish in water. They also loved the glass-bottom boat trip and the explanations on the protection of this exceptional environment. A real awareness, fun and exciting. A detail that particularly touched us: at one point, the sea got a bit rough and, knowing that I wasn't completely comfortable, the captain asked a member of his team to stay with us to ensure our safety. This kind of attention makes all the difference. In short... if you are passing through Cairns, go for it with Ocean Freedom. For us, this day will remain one of the most beautiful of our trip. 💙 An absolutely exceptional experience with Ocean Freedom. If you are traveling with family and are hesitating about which company to choose to discover the Great Barrier Reef, we recommend them to you with our eyes closed. As soon as we arrived on board, we were impressed by the kindness, professionalism, and especially the attentiveness of the entire team. With children, it is really reassuring: they take their time, they observe, they accompany you, and you feel that safety is their priority without ever taking away from the pleasure of the experience. Special mention to Paul and Mary, who speak French and were wonderful. I did my very first dive with Paul: it's hard to imagine a better place for a first experience! He was extremely reassuring, patient, and professional. A huge thank you also to Anna, who accompanied us in the water. A passionate person, incredibly kind, who even came back to see us afterward to make sure everything had gone well. ❤️ And what can I say about the captain! Incredible attention toward the passengers. At a time when the sea was rougher and we were less comfortable with the children, he immediately asked a member of his team to accompany us personally in the water. We felt completely safe. The rest of the team deserves just as much praise: everyone is smiling, available, and attentive. The organization is excellent from start to finish, the boat is very pleasant, and the food is really very good and abundant: breakfast, snacks, lunch, fruit, cheese, cakes... We didn't lack anything! We saw turtles, a huge number of fish, and even whales. The children also loved the glass-bottom boat and the team's explanations about the Great Barrier Reef and its preservation. We have traveled a lot and taken many excursions, and this one is clearly among our best family experiences.
Absolutely fantastic day out with the best crew on a cracker of a boat. Quality snorkelling gear and wetsuits to use for the day. Honestly we were all fed very well with great lunch, cake, fruit and cheese and crackers. The day out had 2 stops with plenty of time to enjoy the water and the reef and a tour on a glass bottomed boat which was fabulous. I recommend highly. Just do it!
I recently had time in Cairns and took several trips to the reef. This was the standout best trip. Ocean Freedom doesn't have the facilities of the pontoon owning companies but they have the best crew - knowledgeable, friendly, so helpful. Everything is made easy - some other trips there were assumptions that visitors knew what to do, knew where everything was etc. Ocean Freedom's crew make sure everyone can get the most from their day. They have two fantastic sites for seeing the coral. The drift snorkel tour with one of the crew was brilliant. I enjoyed this day so much that I cancelled what I had planned the following day to go out with Ocean Freedom again.
Wonderful experience! The crew members are exceptional! My husband who can't swim was specifically taken out for the ocean snorkelling by this wonderful lady crew. My husband is 78 years old & he said he never dreamt that he could be able to swim in the Pacific Ocean! I won't hesitate to recommend this tour.

We had an awesome time on this trip. My Mum snorkeled, my partner did his first discovery scuba dive, and I did 2 certified dives, and we all had a great time. The 2 spots are both lovely with a lot of sea life to see. We saw a reef shark, an octopus, a sting ray and a lot of fish. Staff were attentive, friendly and professional. Lunch was great. Just an awesome day trip, highly recommend!

Our day on the Great Barrier Reef was without a doubt one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Australia. From the moment we stepped on board, everything was exceptionally well organised and we felt genuinely looked after. A special thank you to Hugo from France, who guided our first snorkelling safari. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, making everyone feel comfortable and ensuring we had a fantastic experience. We were also very impressed by how much the crew cared about everyone’s wellbeing. Seasickness tablets were offered before departure, and throughout the day the crew kept checking on everyone to make sure they were feeling well. That level of care really stood out. The underwater world was simply breathtaking. We were lucky enough to see sea turtles, clownfish, colourful parrotfish, stunning coral in every colour imaginable and beautiful sea stars. Another guest even spotted a stingray and a whitetip reef shark that quickly swam away. Around our boat, a huge school of what I think were fusilier fish swam around us, which was an unforgettable sight. We would also like to mention Anna and another crew member whose name we unfortunately can’t remember. Both were incredibly kind, enthusiastic and always happy to help. Their passion for the reef and for making sure everyone had a wonderful day was obvious. Finally, we loved learning that this is the last family-owned reef tour company in Cairns. That makes choosing this company even more special, and we truly hope many more people will support them. Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable experience.
