What a great tour, covers not just music but history, architecture and best places to go in Manchester. highly recommend!
Really good and the guide had a wealth of knowledge
I arrived at the agreed meeting point at the agreed time. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the tour guide. I waited for more than half an hour, but nobody showed up. This was extremely disappointing. I specifically came to Manchester for this tour and planned my entire weekend around it. I was really looking forward to it, but in the end there was nothing at all. Very, very disappointing. I expected much better communication and organization. Sadly, this experience was a major letdown.
Great tour, got some exercise, learnt a lot about the city of Manchester and the music seen that I love, ended up staying in a few of the pubs all day after actually 😊 cheers Joe 👍🏼 nice one.
Joe was exceptionally knowledgable about the Manchester music scene. Took us to several cool buildings/ pubs and shared stories about their relevance to celebs and famous musicians like oasis, the smiths and many more. The tour covers a good amount of ground, so you need to be a good, fit walker for this tour. If you want an insight and get some history of Manchesters music scene then book a tour with Joe and if you’re lucky, you may get a tune out of him too.
I booked the tour for five people and was due to travel from Ireland tommorow. I was emailed to say the tour was cancelled. I requested a refund twice and still noting. Very disappointed
It was really fun to show them places they would never normally go. I thought it was an improvement that the meeting place was difficult to tell and the time at the end was a little over schedule. At the end, I wasn't sure how people would share the photos that all the participants took.
Manchester never ceases to impress. Joe walks us through a wealth of history that touches on this city's heritage, including the industrial background, the business owners, the working people, the music, and of course, the football. I recently joined Joe, an old school pal, on the tour, which felt less like a guided experience and more like a stroll through my own backyard—albeit with a good storyteller leading the way. Joe knows this city inside out, and he’s got the stories to match. He brought our rich history to life, from the industrial revolution to the vibrant pulse of our music scene. Manchester is always evolving. Every corner we turned revealed new developments and fresh stories. It’s a reminder of how much depth our city has and how it’s shaped not just by its buildings but by the people who call it home. If you’re looking to experience Manchester like a local, this tour is a must. You’ll leave with a renewed appreciation for our city
