Oak Alley Plantation Halvdagstur från New Orleans

Beskrivning

I visited Oak Alley Plantation over the weekend, and I really enjoyed my experience. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well maintained, making it a great place to explore and take photos. The first part of the visit was self-guided, which gave us time to walk around and take everything in at our own pace. The guided tour of the Big House was the highlight of the visit. Our tour guide, Anthony, was incredibly informative, friendly, and welcoming. He shared so much history and answered questions in a way that kept everyone engaged. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend visiting if you’re in the New Orleans area. The beautiful scenery, fascinating history, and excellent tour made it a memorable visit.
It is a beautiful place. I am glad we went. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the house tour. They had told me that it was not wheelchair friendly I had hoped that I could do it with my walker. Nope but I sent my son to the house tour and I just enjoyed the beauty of the grounds. It was still worth the trip.
Pick-up at the hotel, no worries, beautiful well-organized excursion, we have enough time to see everything
The tour was great! Our shuttle driver however was very rude which was unfortunate and set kind of a bad mood for the start. The rest of the experience was fantastic otherwise
Donna and Gary are very nice! Good introduction of the New Orleans!
The plantation house was interesting to look round and some history to the families that lived there.
The bus ride was a lot longer than I expected and the description said professional bus driver/guide with New Orleans history He was not a guide. We received no information during this long trip. When we arrived at the plantation, we were told to walk around on our own and we only received a half hour tour of the plantation owners home and they were not dressed up in period costumes. The description of this tour was very deceiving and I would not recommend this experience.
We are sorry that the tour was not what you expected. We do not have ownership over Oak Alley. We only provide the transportation to and from. The distance from the city of New Orleans to Oak Alley is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Also, the driver is not obligated to give you to a tour during the drive, as their main duty is to transport you safely to and from. Although, some drivers will willingly provide you with some history. The tour at the plantation is a 2 hour duration, with a 35 minute guided tour, and the remainder is self-guided. So, it does sound like you received the guided tour as advertised. Lastly, we are not sure where the miscommunication took place, but our website does not list anything in regards to costumes.
Was wonderful experience the driver was very enthusiastic very friendly very good costumer service,I will recommend this tour with all my friends and family ,at the plantation the people there where very nice and helpful the tour guide lady was very knowledgeable about the Oak Alley plantation love history very happy experience.
Visiting the Oak Alley Plantation was a wonderful way to experience a piece of such important history. Whereas we enjoyed the tour very much, a few quick notes: - if you are picking up from the Roosevelt Hotel, please specify on the ticket that you will be picking up from the back entrance; we almost missed our pick up - we could have used at least 30-45 minutes extra at the Oak Alley Plantation; this may be possible if you run this tour on its own, instead of pairing it with the Swamp Tour after. The drive back was much longer because we had to drop off the guests who would take the Swamp Tour option. Last but not least, our driver Keith was a delight: funny, personable, a great ambassador for your company and for New Orleans!
We did the oak alley plantation half day tour and it was excellent. Reggie picked us up and made sure everyone got to and from the plantation in a timely manner. The tour was educational and informative. I would recommend this tour.
