9/11 Museum, som föll 70 meter ner i World Trade Centers berggrundsfundament, spänner över 110 000 kvadratmeter galleriutrymme. Besökare går förbi två 80 - fot stål "Tridents" innan de går ner längs "Survivors' Stairs" - den sista utrymningsvägen för hundratals - och den massiva slamväggen. Spent 2 hours in the museum doing a self guided tour. Could have been longer. Very impactful. Brought back many memories.

We booked a tour and it was well worth it. The guide provided an in depth tour that we would not have experienced on our own. Prepare to spend a few hours here.
Could not book entrance time directly with site but Viator had the time slot I needed. Easy transaction and highly recommended.
This experience is extremely moving and worth your time. It was not too crowded with a timed entry and all were respectful and helpful.
The memorial modeled by the two fountains that flow into a well, the locations where the two original towers stood. What can I say about the museum, which is very comprehensive and poignant given everything it shows and tells. Tributes to the victims and heroes (firefighters, police officers, rescue workers). Minute-by-minute chronology of the events that led to the attacks.
Traveler should definetely visit this area. I believe you will walk out with more knowledge regarding what took place on that day.

This was my 3rd visit and my husband’s second. My first visit was not long after the museum had opened but we both visited in 2024; unfortunately, the tour we took then spent so much time outside, we hardly saw anything in the museum and we wanted to put that right this visit. We didn’t join a tour but decided to see the museum at our own pace. It is a really excellent museum and a fitting tribute to those who lost their lives or were impacted by the events of 9/11. It really is an incredible museum. The museum blends architecture, archaeology and both historical and personal records to tell the history of the 9/11 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing at the site where the Twin Towers once stood. The museum is located within the original foundations of the Twin Towers and the space preserves the "Last Column" (the final piece of steel removed from Ground Zero), the Survivors' Stairs and the blue tiled wall, all of which are significant reminders but one exhibit in particular stopped me in my tracks and that was the damaged FDNY Ladder Company 3 fire truck. Heart breaking. The museum is a place to take your time, read the information and understand the stories behind the exhibits. It is mentally, emotionally and physically draining but we believe it is must see for anyone visiting NYC.
The Memorial Museum was a great experience. I suggest you attend the movie options that are included in your ticket. They gave a perspective on the attacks of the towers and how the city of New York got involved to help their fellow people. The museum gave a great perspective of what happened on 9/11. This is a can't miss attraction.
