Walking tour of Boston’s North End (Little Italy) with a stop at Haymarket and Public Market at the end. Able to experience the colorful history and characters of one of Boston’s oldest neighborhoods. Our guide, Audrey, couldn’t have been more quirky and fun! Met nonnas and grandbabies, shopkeepers and chefs. Audrey helped us appreciate the importance of family and connections in this close-knit community. Introduced to places we might never have visited, but now will visit again! Sampled Italian favorites and more. Market visit included sweet treats for the end of our tour. Be sure to come hungry!

Audrey was amazing!!! She gave us some great history of the North End and introduced us to some delicious food. So many tastings and the best pizza/pasta! Highly recommend. Come hungry and with loose pants!!
Some guests arrive with "F.U.N." written on their foreheads, and that was certainly this group of friends/three couples. From "buongiorno" to "ciao ciao," the best eats, drinks, and laughs never stopped. We're thrilled that you found your way to Boston Foodie Tours' North End Neighborhood Tour, and discovered Galleria Umberto's long-popular Sicilian pizza, and Ristorante Limoncello's Time magazine-featured Rosette Pasta. We hope that they - and us! - inspire a return trip to Boston, and its North End.
What a highlight of our trip to Boston! Audrey was incredibly knowledgeable about both the city's history and its food scene, and she took us to amazing local spots we never would have found on our own. The best part for my husband and me, though, was seeing the genuine friendships Audrey has built within the community. Because of those relationships, we had the opportunity to chat with longtime residents and hear stories we never would have experienced otherwise. By the end of the tour, it felt like we had spent the day with friends instead of just sightseeing as tourists. If you're visiting Boston, don't miss this tour!
When an "Oh, nooo" quickly becomes a "Let's gooo!!!" Why? Because at Boston Foodie Tours, we don't give up, either! Thank you for being a trouper, and joining us on our North End and Market District Tour despite your uncooperative knee. Together, we teamed to provide an optimal tour experience, regardless of the duration. We're glad that you experienced not only the North End's delicious eats, but also its rich culture and colorful characters. We hope that these memories inspire a return trip in the future, and that Boston will always hold a special place in your heart.
We had a wonderful experience with Audrey on our Boston Foodie Tour. She was engaging, informative, and delightful. The food stops were amazing. We went back and ate at two of the places we were introduced on our tour. I also took home some goodies from a shop in the Boston Market from the tour. Overall an awesome experience.
This tour experience remains indelibly etched in this guide's memory, and for good reason: Your partner's face simply lit up at every stop on our North End & Market District Tour. From start to finish she was in heaven. We're pleased to have provided an optimal experience that brought joy to both of you, and created lasting memories. And the best part for your gift-giving needs? Q's Nuts ships!
Audrey was referred to us by the Concierge at Marriott Long Wharf. She is just fabulous. She's native to Boston and has deep relationships with the restaurants, bakeries and other purveyors. Every stop was a delight and Audrey has such deep knowledge of the. neighborhood too. Be sure to book Audrey early in your Boston visit so you'll hv ample time to return to any/all of the stops on her tour. And don't hv a big breakfast before the tour if you go early!
Just the ladies! It was a joy to host you and your lovely friend on our North End & Market District Tour, and to walk down memory lane as you recalled your long-ago days as a local. As you learned, much has changed since your last visit, yet much has stayed the same. It was a pleasure to update you, and to introduce you to some of the two neighborhoods' best eats, as well as to the locals, who add color to every tour, and offer our guests an authentic view of what makes the North End and Haymarket areas a must-experience for all Boston visitors.
The tour guide, Audrey, was a hoot and did a nice job engaging people. She provided a lot of interesting information and brought us to several nice spots to get a sample of local food. She said this was a hybrid tour, mostly of the North End and a couple stops at Boston Public Market. The tour was relaxed and unrushed. We left feeling full. A few of the food items sampled included cannoli, pizza slice from Galleria Umberto Rosticceria, chocolate truffles, meatball and sauce, olives, Limoncello, crusty bread from Bricco Panetteria, with olive oil and balsamic options, espresso, clam chowder from Union Oyster House, sugared nuts, gelato, apple cider donuts. It was a good mixture of sweet and savory. Would definitely do it again.
What a pleasure, Audrey made us feel we were traveling with a relative from Boston. The food and knowledge of the North End was the best. We travel across the US and this food tour was OUSTSTANDING.
Oh, the fun we had!!! Sometimes our guests are meant to be grouped together. On this day, our two Southern-based couples were perfectly matched. From beginning to end, the conversations, the laughs, and the best eats flowed without interruption. We hope we inspired a future return visit to your former home and, if we're lucky, to enjoy another culinary experience with Boston Foodie Tours.
I gift my husband a 1-2 day getaway (in New England) over the holidays each year. This year we ended up in Boston (again) and I was initially uninspired but this tour SAVED the day! Despite the bitter cold Audrey provided an AMAZING experience. We have been on many food tours throughout the country and this was the BEST one - a completely unexpected surprise. We can’t put our finger on it- but some amalgamation of Audrey’s relationship with the neighborhood, interesting stories, food history, variety of seemingly “hidden” stops and DELICIOUS food made it magic! Thank you Audrey!
This tour was special for us, too! We couldn't be more delighted than when we're able to introduce locals/Massachusetts residents to the North End and Market District's best eats. On this cold winter's day, not only were we the gift, but we were also hosting food tour veterans. With the bar raised high, we were up to the challenge, and they - our lovely guests - were up for the delicious eats, along with a bit of silliness, and more than a few laughs. Together, we were a winning combination. We hope that your future visits to the area will be just as enjoyable, if not more so, and that food tours around the globe will continue to provide you with as much joy as they have provided this tour guide/tour operator.
What a fun tour! Delicious food and more than enough to eat. Audrey is an amazing tour guide and really knows the neighborhood and people well. Great way to start our Boston trip and immerse ourselves with the locals. Thank you, Audrey for a truly memorable experience!
Someday, when we hang the "closed" sign on the door for good, it's not the delicious eats that this tour guide/owner will remember the most, or the many laughs enjoyed with our always-terrific guests, rather, it will be how moved I was by the love witnessed between family members. In this case, a young adult daughter spending alone-time with Dad, and a father who cherished every moment. Thank you for choosing Boston Foodie Tours, and for allowing us and our partners to be part of a memorable father-daughter weekend escape. We were happy to be a prelude to a Celtics game, and to create lifelong memories with you. May our North End tour be the first of many that you will enjoy as a family, and may each food tour bring you the joy that this one did.
Our guide, Audrey, was absolutely delightful!! She educated us about the North End neighborhood, giving us insights into the history and families. And, we enjoyed so many wonderful tastings, from pizza to desserts to limoncello. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour.
We love hosting families of all configurations, and this tour didn't disappoint either our guests or us. Two sisters meeting up in Boston, and including a North End food tour on their itinerary. What could be better? We know! An unexpected "private" tour with just the girls, and only pro-age baby boomers, including this tour guide!!! Thank you for choosing Boston Foodie Tours, and for "Sip, Savor, & Shopping" through the North End with us. We hope that we added a special touch to your Boston trip that you wouldn't have experienced otherwise, and that we raised the bar high for future food tours that you might enjoy.
