Al khor är den 2: a stora staden i Qatar, i Al khor resenärerna kommer att besöka den gamla hamnen där de kommer att se den gamla stilen båtar som de använde för fiske i det förflutna och fortfarande de använder träbåtar för fiske.
Purple Island, som ligger i nordöstra Qatar nära Al Khor, är en lugn naturlig plats känd för sina fantastiska mangrove, pulserande fågelliv och grunda laguner. Perfekt för friluftsentusiaster och erbjuder möjligheter till kajakpaddling, fågelskådning och fridfulla promenader i natursköna landskap. Ön är också historiskt betydelsefull, en gång ett centrum för gammal färgproduktion, vilket gett den sitt unika namn.
Zubarafortet, beläget i nordvästra Qatar, är ett historiskt ökenfort som byggdes 1938 av shejk Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani. Ursprungligen en militär post, har det sedan omvandlats till ett museum som visar upp Qatars rika kulturarv. Fortet har tjocka murar, distinkta vakttorn och en central innergård, som alla representerar traditionell qatarisk arkitektur. I närheten finns den UNESCO-listade arkeologiska platsen Al Zubarah som avslöjar ruiner av en gammal pärl- och handelsstad, vilket gör Zubara Fort till ett viktigt resmål för historieentusiaster.
Jumail Village är en övergiven fiskeby belägen på Qatars nordvästra kust. Byn var en gång en blomstrande bosättning, men ligger nu i ruiner och erbjuder besökare en inblick i det traditionella qatariska livet innan landets snabba modernisering. Platsen är hem till sönderfallande hus, moskéer och andra strukturer, vilket gör det till en lugn men ändå stämningsfull plats för historieälskare och fotografer intresserade av att utforska Qatars förflutna.

I had a one day tour with Muzzi - he drove me and my mom to all sightseeing spots he could think of. I was surprised in the variety of the impressions - from historic places to beautiful landscapes and last but not least seeing the desert. The camel race area is a must see. Muzzi explained everything and he served as a perfect host throughout the whole day.
Wonderful experience, very positive and interesting driver. Places on a trip are good as well as drive in a car. I recommend it to everyone
It was a beautiful experience. The locations are beautiful and very photogenic, not crowded at all, we were almost alone at all the locations. The driver was absolutely amazing and answered all the questions we had. Would absolutely recommend!

It was amazing, the tour guide is really interesting he gave us many recomendations and learned some croatian sayings, we explained our history and he explained Qatar’s history, really educational, would reccomend!
Tour guides are really nice, kind and know a lot about Qatar. Trip was very nice, we saw the Mangrove forest, Purple island, abandoned villages and the fortress. I would go again on this trip.

I had booked this as a solo traveler, but made it part of a shared trip (i.e. other groups could be added to my tour). Nobody else added, so at the last minute the tour operator told me that it would be a private tour and tried to charge me 3x the price. My only other option was to go on a 4-hour shared tour of Doha, which is what I did. That was a decent tour, but not what I signed up for. Asking for 3x the price just because nobody else signed up wasn't fair--I shouldn't get charged more just because nobody else signed up for the tour, as that's not my fault. As a result, I never saw this part of Qatar. The substitute 4-hour tour of Doha was the same as what many others offer (and I had already booked another Viator tour of Doha), so I made the best of a bad situation. If you really want to go on this tour...this may not be your best option.

Our guide Arum picked us up on time in a comfortable vehicle at the hotel in Doha, and then we first went via Al Khor, where we briefly visited an old fishing port, to the mangrove forests in the northwest, where we had the opportunity to explore part of the nature reserve on a wooden jetty. Afterwards we drove further northeast to the fortress of Al Zubara. Here we had ample opportunity to explore the fortress and the interesting museum (was included in the price). Afterwards we stopped at a larger excavation site where an ancient settlement of Qatari pearl divers is gradually being uncovered. Then we went back to Doha. We would particularly like to praise our great guide Arum, who has a huge historical, social and general knowledge of Qatar and has provided us with information in a polite, unobtrusive and entertaining way - highly recommended! Overall a nice four-hour tour where you could learn a lot about the country. Not recommended for children, though, because maybe not spectacular enough.
