Vi kör gärna enligt schemat och om du inte är vid avgångsplatsen vid den annonserade boardingtiden så åker vi. Det kommer att finnas andra ombord som har anlänt enligt önskemål och vi vill inte påverka deras upplevelse. Om du kommer sent måste du ta en taxi på egen bekostnad för att hinna med turnén. Vi rekommenderar starkt att du kommer tidigt till turnén eftersom ingen återbetalning kommer att övervägas om du missar tjänsten.
Du kommer att få en bra översikt över de strandländer som ägde rum på Omaha Beach den 6 juni 1944. Därefter får du cirka 15 minuter ledighet att gå på sanden (beroende på tidvattenförhållanden) där amerikanska styrkorna landade på D-dagen.
Guiden leder dig till den otroliga amerikanska kyrkogården och förklarar många viktiga fakta om när den byggdes, varför den ligger där den är och många historier om de män och kvinnor som begravdes här. Du kommer att ges runt 45 minuter ledig tid att utforska på egen hand.
Du kommer att lära dig om den amerikanska Rangers roll på D-Day som måste skala klipporna vid Pointe-Du-Hoc för att tysta långa tyska vapen. Du får tillräckligt med ledig tid att utforska på egen hand efter förklaringarna från din guide.
Inkluderat i kostnaden för din turné är en biljett för att komma in i det imponerande Airborne Museum. Din guide kommer att ge dig tillräckligt med tid för att turnera denna fantastiska plats som kommer att ge dig en större inblick i den luftburna operationen.
Denna lilla normandiska stad låg på huvudvägen N13 som förband Cherbourg med Bayeux och Caen. Detta var huvudvägen som både tyskar och amerikaner skulle behöva för att mobilisera välbehövlig utrustning under slaget om Normandie. Ste Mere Eglise var ett mål för 82nd Airborne Fallskärmsjägare och har gjorts känd av filmen The Longest Day. Den amerikanske fallskärmsjägaren John Steele var olycklig att fastna på kyrktornet under nedsläppet.
När vi kör kommer vi att visa dig några av den typiska häckterrängen som de allierade var tvungna att kämpa igenom. Vi kommer att förklara hur tyskarna använde landsbygden känd som "bocage" till sin defensiva fördel och hur de allierade övervann dem.
Din guide kommer att ge dig en detaljerad redogörelse för landningarna från den amerikanska fjärde infanteridivisionen innan du ger dig lite ledig tid att utforska de många monument som finns här.
Vi stannar kort för att visa dig ett av våra favoritmonument i Normandie. Richard Winters valdes att representera ledarskap på grund av hans världsomspännande berömmelse från TV-miniserien, Band of Brothers.
Vi kommer att ta tid att förklara betydelsen av denna vackra lilla by. Detta var ett mål för 101st Airborne att hjälpa styrkorna att landa på Utah Beach.

Great tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. He made the tour very enjoyable. Pierre was great.

We went for a day with Eloise to visit the American beaches, St Mere Eglise, a museum etc. It was fabulous. Eloise is a wealth of knowledge and was absolutely wonderful. We highly recommend this tour operator, Bayeux Shuttle, and for this tour, Eloise for a guide/chauffeur.
Amazing tour. Our guide, Pierre, was extremely knowledgeable and wonderfully pieced together the history of D-Day and much of the impacts WWI-WWII had on France. Pickup and drop off was a breeze, and along the way and at each stop there was always a piece of history or a detail to be pointed out. The weight of history is evident in nearly all the stops. Walking the sands of Omaha and Utah beaches, walking among the bombed our craters of Point Du Hoc, observing the urban battlefield that is Sainte-Mère-Église, and among the rows upon rows of crosses at the hallowed grounds at the American Cemetery. I will not forget this experience for the rest of my days.

An informations well presented tour of the US beach operations. Jordan, our guide, presented a thorough overview of the background to as well as the landings. A visit to Angoville ended on a fascinating story or bravery and the camaraderie in battle.

Whole experience was great, from pickup to drop off. Irene, our guide was not only very knowledgeable, but spoke clearly and understandable. As a person with hearing challenges, I could understand almost every word. You see the sights, but the unexpected can happen too. During the free time at the cemetery I was relating to a fellow traveler my family’s story of one who landed at Omaha beach on d-day. An elderly French woman who was nearby heard the story and engaged me with two main points, one, why did he do this for us? Second, thank your family for what they did for us. This was the highlight for me. So, you never know. You won’t regret this trip.

Normandy is a must see. Incredibly moving. Our tour took in the American beaches and the cliffs which were scaled by the Rangers. Our guide, Matthew was personable and knowledgeable, fluent in English. Definitely a highlight of our trip to France. We don't have anything to compare this with but without a doubt it was worth going.
