Letar du efter en unik vandringstur i Bergen som tar dig bort från Bryggens livliga trånga områden och fiskmarknaden? Upptäck en av de bäst bevarade hemligheterna i staden med denna vandringstur på Nordnes-halvön. Nordnes är en 1 km (0,6 mil) lång halvö som sträcker sig in i Bergens hamn. Medan Hansan dominerade handeln på Bryggen, var Nordnes där de norska köpmännen utvecklade sina verksamheter. Men Nordnes var också maktens centrum i Bergen, och det var stadens tingshus och avrättningsplats i hundratals år. Det är också där häxor brändes på 1500- och 1600-talen. På 1800-talet blev det ett nav för sjömän och red-light district, med de smala, mörka gränderna den perfekta platsen att gömma hemlig verksamhet. Idag är det ett populärt (och dyrt) område med familjer, skolor och vackra parker. Vi begränsar gruppstorleken eftersom denna turné går genom ett bostadsområde. Du ställer så många frågor du vill!

Vi strosar nerför Strandgaten, den historiska huvudgatan för de norska köpmännen. Men vi kommer inte bara att gå ner hit - vi kommer att svänga utanför allfarvägen för att få en unik utsikt över Bergen.
Vi stannar utanför Nykirken, kyrkan som byggdes för köpmännen på 1600-talet. Edvard Grieg döptes här. Men vi kommer också att diskutera ärkebiskopsresidenset som brukade vara där.
Efter att ha tagit några hemliga gator i Nordnes (du måste ta turen för att lära dig mer om dem!), hamnar vi halvvägs, Nordnesparken.
När vi tar oss tillbaka till staden går vi in i ett av de bäst bevarade kvarteren i Bergen. Här ser vi kulturhuset med omnejd.
Vi stannar utanför vad som har röstats fram som den vackraste gatan i Bergen.
För den sista delen av turen beger vi oss in i det välbevarade sjömanskvarteret Nostet.
På väg tillbaka in i staden passerar vi Bergens teater.
Vi avslutar i centrala Bergen.

I enjoy strolling through parts of a city I'm visiting, so this was a welcome activity. Nordnes has some gorgeous streets that are worth wandering down, and Magda was an excellent tour guide with clear passion for the area. As I had done one other tour from this same company, she was able to skip over stories that I had already heard, so it felt like a more personal tour. Would recommend if you fancy taking in a quieter part of the city.

Very engaging small group walking tour through a picturesque part of Bergen. Our guide (a Bergen native) was very knowledgeable and engaging, offering a rich perspective on the Nordnes area and its history, as well as that of Bergen and Norway as a whole. Our group was encouraged to ask lots of questions, and we certainly did. I was very glad to have this opportunity to explore off the beaten path and discover another side of Bergen beyond the city's most famous landmarks. Nordnes is incredibly charming and well worth adding to a Bergen visit itinerary. I would certainly not have gotten the same appreciation for it just wandering the area on my own.
