Martin was an amazing guide and making sure everyone was safe and keeping up. A must do for families, friends to experience Nice drive around
What a wonderful experience! Couldn’t be happier with the tour and our guide Martin! Way to drive, beautiful views, and 💯 worth going if your short on time and want to see more than the old town. Highly recommend!
We had so much fun! The carts are easy to drive - there is no gas pedal, driving is more like a motorcycle. We went to places we had not been before and it was so nice to cruise along in an open top car. Highly recommend. There is no bathroom where the tour starts!!
The tour is nice but we missed some VERY important details: 1) It should be noted that you need to know how to operate the vehicle (scooter type). It is a three-wheeled scooter, which is quite heavy, integrated into a plastic structure. The movements to turn can be complicated and the vehicle is not very safe. 2) The tour goes right into the city and on the road, with two or three dangerous curves that the guide (who is ahead on a motorcycle) should signal in advance in some way, for example, at the beginning of the tour, warning that he will make a hand signal at those curves. 3) In one of those complicated and tight curves (also downhill), one of the vehicles we were operating had no room to turn or brake and had an accident against a sign. The vehicle suffered minor damages for which we committed to pay the deductible, prior to signing the contract. What's the problem? THEY FORCE YOU TO PAY THE DEDUCTIBLE IN CASH. This is of very questionable legality since there is no record anywhere, which seemed very dishonest to us since we did not refuse to pay it, we only claimed that there should be traceability. Be very careful with this, it does not seem like a very transparent business.
Thank you for your feedback. 1. All the information about our vehicles is clearly available on our website before booking, including numerous photos, the vehicle specifications, and the fact that guests drive the vehicles themselves. Your comment that the vehicle “felt unsafe” is a personal impression and does not reflect the experience of the thousands of customers who have safely completed this tour. 2. During the safety briefing, all participants receive detailed driving instructions before departure. We specifically explain how to approach bends, remind everyone not to accelerate in corners, and ask guests to follow the guide’s pace and instructions throughout the tour. These instructions are given to every participant and must be listened to carefully. 3. Regarding the accident, the bend was not the cause. You missed the turn on your first attempt. On your second attempt, you accelerated instead of completing the turn and struck the road sign. This sequence of events was observed by the guide and the rest of the group. Regarding the damage payment, our excess is now payable in cash, as clearly stated in the rental agreement that you read and signed before driving. This policy was introduced because, in the past, some customers paid by credit card and then disputed the transaction several weeks later. The terms are fully transparent and accepted before the tour begins. Finally, we are disappointed by your accusations regarding our transparency and by the way you treated our guide. Zak is one of our most experienced guides and has received thousands of 5-star reviews over the years. He remained calm, professional and respectful throughout the incident despite a difficult situation.
Tight curves that the guide did not warn about, nor did he check if the group was still together. He did not respect stop signs or yield signs. Very deficient road safety. We had an accident because we interrupted the passage of a bus, causing the cars to get stuck and we crashed into a traffic sign. They charged us 230 euros for damages caused to the car, forcing us to pay in cash, with no option to pay by card without giving us a receipt.
This review does not reflect what actually happened. Our guide is an experienced professional who takes the safety of the group seriously and is highly appreciated by our customers. The accident was not caused by a lack of instructions. The driver simply missed her turn, which can happen to anyone. Unfortunately, instead of stopping or correcting the maneuver safely, she forced the turn and hit a pole, causing the damage to the vehicle. As for the €230 charge, this was not an arbitrary fee but the excess (deductible) clearly stated in the rental agreement, which every customer reads and signs before the tour begins. The payment terms, including payment in cash in the event of damage, are also specified in the contract. This policy is in place because, in the past, some dishonest customers have disputed or reversed card payments after returning the vehicles. We regret that this incident occurred, but we cannot allow inaccurate statements that misrepresent the professionalism of our team.
Easy to drive and provided a welcome breeze in hot weather. Antonio was very friendly and took us to a few places outside Nice.
This was such a fun way to see the city!!!!!!!!! Our tour guide was great. This is a wonderful and interactive way to have fun and see the city. Fun for adults and kids.
This was so much fun!!! We truly enjoyed our evening in Nice with this self driving tour!! We did ours in the evening and it was perfect weather!! Many stops along the way to hear the history of Nice and fun facts, too! We would do this tour again!!!
My family and I had a great time on this tour! My husband and I were the drivers in our own electric cars, and our kids were the passengers. It was beautiful to get a new glimpse of Nice. The tour guides are very friendly and helpful, and we all really enjoyed ourselves.
This experience was amazing!!!!! Julia was our tour guide. She was so much fun, always looking behind her to ensure she wouldn't leave us behind. We drove in the little convertible cars all over Nice. They were like Go karts with plenty of leg room. I didnt have any cash left that day and I was late for dinner after the excursion so I couldn't give her a tip though she well deserved it. She spoke perfect English and she allowed us to roam freely, and took us through really cool serpentine roads that allowed us to floor the gas pedal. I would totally do this. Teens and kids 8 and over should be fine, the carts have seat belts, as long as they follow instructions.
